16 month old won't sit on potty anymore

Any tips on getting my 16 month old to sit for a bit on his potty? Ever since he started walking at 13 months he has been non stop :) and does not want to sit still for anything, not just potty time. He use to sit just fine with me and we were catching almost every poops and some pees up to that point on his potty. I've never gotten the signaling down and use timing and just knowing. Maybe this just happens sometimes, but I sure miss him using his potty...

Have you tried making him stand up on the stool and pee in the toilet?  Maybe it's time to switch from potty to toilet.

For pees I wouldn't expect him to sit- just offer a yogurt container while he's standing (great to avoid pants with zippers/buttons so you can just pull down the front of his pants and make cue sound). For poos you probably need to make it worth his while to sit for a minute. Book or even (ugh- we are stuck doing this) You Tube (natl geo is good)...or some stuff to play with that is usually not allowed/avail...

We are big fans of the toilet. Otherwise our 15 month old just gets up and runs away. We sit and read a book.

Yup, up on the toilet seat reducer on the big toilet and he can't really escape. :o)

Lol, if my guy wants down, he makes that clear. I think he is happier to sit up there because he doesn't gave freedom burning the soles of his feet. We still get the occasional refusal on the toilet.

I'm going to try and have him sit on the big potty now and see if this helps. Using his little one was just so easy for me, but true with so many distractions.

I'm now looking for something to put on top of the big toilet for him to sit on. What do you all use?
