We decided to take a photo of the kids and I holding signs that say #1 #2 and #3 being held at my belly. DD is holding a balloon that says It's a Girl! I made that photo into a valentine and I am going to send it out to family on V day. I'll post of FB maybe next week. We have told next to no one yet. (we don't live near any family) So this will be a big surprise.

Funny story- We told the kids last night and this is the conversation with my 6 year old.

Me- Guess what? You are going to get a new baby sister!

DS- Are we getting rid of DD#2?

Me- Um no, she is staying... we are going to have a new baby too.

DS- Can't we just get an older kid- one that's not a baby.

Me- Sorry, they all come as babies.

DS- Sigh- I need a drink. (leaves table to refill his water)

My 4 yo thought we were actually getting rid of his little brother. I had to reassure him his brother is going nowhere and now he gets to have 2 siblings. He's excited and says he wants a brother not a sister and has named the baby "green go"; can you tell green is his favorite color? LOL

I made a series of silly "announcements" in MS paint using my ultrasound images. It kind of went over some people's heads, but whatever. They'll figure it out eventually. The people who I wanted to know, who understand my sense of humor and who are actually important to me, got it right away because they KNOW me. And they were fun to make.

We told our kids (6,4,2) yesterday.  I always make a sugar cookie for each person and write their name in icing.  I made a 6th one with a question mark.  The kids thought it was in memory of my grandma, or was for the clay parrot hanging in the corner of the kitchen, none of them caught on until my husband asked how they joined our family.  My 4 year old daughter looked at me (big eyed) and said "You're pregalant?"  She has since said," I can't believe we're having a baby" every couple of hours.  The other two are boys and not quite as enthusiastic.  :)

I ended up posting an u/s picture the evening we had it done last week. Not creative but I haven't had much creativity this time! And my kids were begging me to post so they could talk freely about baby. <3

My kids are also doing this. They are starting to get really dissapointed with the promise of being able to tell when we hear the heartbeat, and then no heartbeat.

If I don't hear it next week (15 weeks) things are going to get really complicated. If I go home and keep it a secret and everything is fine, and I have to tell them about the baby after I left, they are going to wonder why I'm being so weird. And are my kids going to be able to keep it under their hats anyway?!

We told our kids on Monday, and it only took until Wednesday for DS to "share" our news at school circle. winky.gif

I was really amazed that mine didn't share! We actually made it about 3 weeks with no one spilling to anyone without permission. And that's including the 5yo with no impulse control. lol.gif

I posted a video of DS saying he was going to be a big brother. Figured those that are really interested in my life would watch it.
