Hey ladies, I just got a text from Melany saying they're being sent to take Anna in to the Seattle Children's Hospital. I don't know any more than that, but please send some good thoughts their way, too!

You'd think I'd remember but is it normal for contractions to feel like diarrhea pain? I've been having painless but timeable contractions all morning and now I feel like I have "have to go" cramps intermittently. I feel unsure because 1) I'm only 37 weeks and 2) We had a strawberry/blueberry smoothie for lunch so maybe the fiber?

Micah Mae - as my doctor tells me, it never hurts to go and be checked!

No updates from WLL since saying her water broke so I assume she's still busy birthing those little babies!!!  ;)

Melany just sent me an update that Anna has a perforated bowel and needs surgery. Keep those positive thoughts coming!

All I know are BH, at the moment, so I couldn't help you, unfortunately, micah_mae. It does sound like cramps are part of feeling "birthy," though, so maybe?

Oh, Melany! I hope that sweet little baby girl is okay!

Also, luck to you, WLL! It's only a matter of time now that your water has broken!!

Contractions during labor with DD ALL felt like "have to go" cramps... Though it was more of a "gotta poop but constipated" feeling than the double down crampiness that goes with diarrhea. I think

that feeling of needing to eliminate is a good sign of pending labor. And in my case the feeling carried over to my entire labor experience!
