Ellie, I'm glad you've had some positive news, and I hope the treatments do what they're supposed to and Harrison doesn't need surgery. And I'm happy to hear Lennox is doing great!

HerbsGirl, are they inducing you early because of the GD? I guess you've exhausted herbal options by now? I'm sure the prostaglandin and pitocin will kick in shortly, sounds like something is happening Good luck.

.Midwife said blood pressure has been borderline.... 136/ 80-90-94 or similar, unless I am laying down and relaxed sometimes it is higher than others.  Well, see I havent been so perfect with my diet. My blood sugars have been excellent most of the time when I take it. There have been alot times I cheated though and didnt take my blood sugars. I just dont feel comfortable going too much past 40 weeks. The baby is looking really good so far according to the midwife, IF they dont try again till Monday, probably will do more testing again tommarow, biophysical profile and NST. Baby doesnt seem big according to ultrasounds and midwife feeling my belly. (last GD baby was 6 5 at 38 weeks)  Cytotec has worked to induce at my 4 previous births, but I am not willing to go that route after hemmorhaging and bad uterine atony after with my last birth

I have tried some natural inducing things. Midwife told me not to take anything with blue cohosh because of uterine atony history. Acupressure, Nipple stimulation, breast pump, Zinc/Evening primrose oil, A1 sauce with mac and cheese, drinking tons of Red raspberry (1 oz in 1 quart of water), galloping, Utrophin, ect ect. are some of the things I have tried or am taking.  I thought about Master Gland.

During the time I was on pitocen, baby looked wonderful most of the time, moving  and variablity, Uterus responded with nice strong contractions to the pitocen. She said my cervix was softer, less posterier  or whatever and starting to dilate a little on the part towards my vagina, thats all the progress I made on 6 hrs. of pitocen.

What is Master Gland? Some kind of pituitary/endocrine supplement? And Utrophin? By galloping do you mean running?

Mastergland is a supplement by Natures sunshine for endocrine ect. Midwives recomend taking it 2 every 30 minutes until headache, then stop, then start again the next day, repeat, for 2-3 days. Its suppoed to really help?  If you google it, theres testemonials ect out there

Utrophin-bovine  uterine protomorphogen extract supports the uterus when it has been through any trauma, helps it to work optimally ect... a midwife testemonial online is that it is good for moms with sluggish labors and that have babies close, She has never seen a PPH with it.

Galloping- There are youtube videos that show galloping to help induce labor. It does seem to put more pressure in my crotch!

Good news!  I got a text from Ellie earlier that Harrison is being released today and they're all going home as a family.  YAY!!!

We had a birth in my MWs March group already-- actually of the 7 clients due in March, I am due March 1, we have 3 due March 4/5, 1 due March 8 and 2 due March 19/20, so heavily weighted to the beginning of the month.  Well, one of the March 4 ladies (a FTM, even) had her baby last night!  Not surprised in the least that I was not first-- I told the March 19 lady (who is truly miserable and having her 3rd, but at least thankfully past 37 weeks) that I would switch with her-- she could give birth this week and I'd wait another week or so, LOL.

Right.  I thought it was odd, too.  Maybe on the next one!

WLL's twins were born on a full moon! She was induced, though, so it wasnt really influenced by the full moon. I'm surprised we didnt have anyone else go into labor, too. My money is stil on me going into labor during the next full moon (march 27th).
