Oh my so happy Harrison got to go home! Love to you Ellie!
AFM-Since my BP is not good, if baby Maddax does not decide to come by Monday they are going to induce me. This of course will increase my risk of my scar from my first c-section coming open but only by a little bit. I am little scared because when I was induced with DD it was for 4 to 5 days because they had to get her out and I just don't think I can do that again. So I am really hoping that if they have to induce me that it goes quickly. I guess I will do whatever takes, just cannot stand hospitals and want to get in and out as fast as possible.
Sending good vibes out to all the birthing mommas and those journeying babies!!

delilah, here's hoping Maddox decides to come before Monday. If not, may they find the best pit/misoprostal/foley bulb combo there is to perfectly fit your needs to make the induction come as quickly as possible.
good luck to granola and herbsgirl!!!
i just had my OB do a check. the curiosity was killing me. i'm 1 whole cm dilated and 25% effaced. It will probably be a while before i meet the babe.

Ugh I have been having contractions since 9 pm and I can't sleep through them anymore but I'm still not convinced it's real which means I could be up at 1 am for no reason and be exhausted tomorrow. :(
post #347 of 7943/2/13 at 12:03amChocolatechip- Glad you got your curiosity appeased :)
Delilah - Good luck over this weekend!
Any insights appreciated! Kinda frusturated.
So I went into triage Friday night with my mw. 90% effaced, baby was +1, regular contractions every 2-4 minutes for 8 hours or so. Looking like we are moving forward right? WRONG! 2 cm dilated. No change after 2 hours or so. MW, DH and I agreed it would be best to go home and see what happens. On the bright side, baby entertained us by doing roundhouse chuck Norris kicks at the monitors every minute or so. This baby is fiesty. AND my cankles are gone, probably due to baby dropping.
I slept last night with the help of my friend Ambien.Today, same thing except the contractions feel lower down, so I feel like I'm dilating. But they feel more like big period cramps and aren't that intense. I'm just not sure when to call in again, since I'm still contracting every 2-5 minutes. My mom also had very fast labors with her kids, and she keeps telling me these stories, so I'm also a feeling a bit anxious.
DH is getting excited to meet our 1st baby. I just feel confused at my body. I need some happy thoughts or good mantras to tell myself.

A couple contractions followed by bloody show this morning between 5:30-6:30. Contractions and a bit more drippy bloody show (maybe a tsp down my leg) since then, contractions about 8-12 mins apart, about 1 min long now. Definite "small gush" of significantly more (amniotic fluid, probably, considering amount) about 1/2 hour ago. It's like 8:45 here. I am still thinking "maybe it's not really starting" but I guess my water did break, so...!
We're pretty prepped here. Wish us ELV and all that good stuff.

Don't listen to your mom LOL. My mom always told me she had these super fast labours and after my long first one I dug a little deeper and find out she just 'blocked out" all that early labour business :)
Good luck!!! and happy labour vibes, so exciting to me meeting your 1st little one. YAY!!

Go Buko, go Buko!post #355 of 7943/2/13 at 9:07amScarlet and Buko, I am excited for you both to be on your way. Remember, even if it takes a while longer than you envisioned, your body is brilliant and is working. Good luck!
post #356 of 7943/2/13 at 9:17amGood luck Delilah!!
Granolamom- I bet something is still going on in there, too bad we can't know at what pace!
Scarlet- how disappointing
with my first I had s similar experience, delivered DS one week after my false alarm. I couldn't tell the difference between those "false" contractions and "real" early labor. BUT, the second time we went to the hospital I was 6/7 cm dilated when we arrived and THOSE contractions in the car were unmistakably "real". I never even timed those contractions, just ignored them until they were super intense. For me, I was happy to have labored at home that long. Much more comfy at home.
BUKO!!! I am SO excited for you! I am just tickled to read such wonderful news! I will be thinking of you constantly. Easy labor vibes comin your way.post #357 of 7943/2/13 at 9:18am- SlimP
