. Poor Ellie, that must be really hard. She'll probably go into full blown labor very soon, though, considering how far she's already progressed.Parenting supplies mentioned in this thread:

At least they sent you home and didn't intervene. If you log back in (and for everyone else) my doula just sent me this link today on natural labor plateaus since I am worried about it happening to me - it happened when I was in labor with DS and wound up with breaking waters, pitocin and an epidural.

Wow. They sent you HOME for failure to progress... I honestly think that's awesome, if disappointing. It's possible that being home, in an environment that is both natural and comfortable for you, things may either progress more easily or get started more in earnest...

I'm so impressed they sent you home! Sounds like you're in terrific hands and they are respecting the timing of your body and babies, exactly like how you wanted. It's all good! Let the babies come when they want to, there's no urgency except in our own minds and expectations. You rest up and take it easy.

. I can't imagine how disappointed you are right now, but agree that it's great that they let you go home!! Hopefully you can relax and things will pick up again. Sending happy labor vibes to you and hope to hear some good news soon!post #72 of 7942/18/13 at 8:03amWhat hospital administrator came up with the term "failure to progress" ?
WLL, I wish you the best for rest and restoration - this is just the path of your and your babies' progression - there's nothing about failure involved.
I"m taking you in my thoughts with me to work today.
best wishes.
