Frustrated TTC # 4

Hello Ladies! I'm new to this site,but felt it was time to reach out. I'm a momma to 3 wonderful children and 1 angel baby taken at 25 weeks. I'm recently married to an amazing man. We have been ttc for almost a year with no luck. He has no biological children at all and he is ready to be a daddy. I want to be able to have a child with my husband...but I cant seem to get pregnant. I never had problems in the past but now that I'm 30 that has changed. I have went to the gyno and been told there is nothing wrong with me. So i have no clue whats going on!!! I temp, use opks...and still nothing! I have never been so frustrated in my life. All the hoping, and symptom spotting, and negative hpts have sent me into a deep depression. I cry everyday, though i hide it very well. So my question is...how do you ladies get through this each much without going crazy? And any advice on what I can do to help my chance of concieving or what possibly can be going on is much appreciated.

I'm sorry mama. It sounds like its time to see a RE (reproductive endocrinologist) aka fertility doctor. They'll likely want to start with bloodwork on you and a semen analysis on your hubby. Dont let the idea scare you, It doesn't necessarily mean you will have to do expensive fertility stuff. Sometimes it's an easy fix.

Have you had your thyroid checked? If it is off in the least, it can cause fertility issues. Sometimes that simple fix with meds does the trick. Best of luck to you! I can relate with the frustrations of having a hard time conceiving. 😥

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Since it's been a year, a reproductive specialist would be a good next step, but I've run across some other natural methods of conception you could pursue before other options.

Hi ladies, wow...thank you for all the advice! So checked this out...I was doing some research and discovered Melatonin ( over the counter sleep aid)  can cause hormone problems and LH hormone issues. And i was shocked, you see I take 3 mg everynight and there was never any warnings on the label!!! I have stopped taking them as of Saturday and called my gyno who said Melatonin can cause fertility problems. All of my test have came back normal for thyroid...so I wonder if this was the problem. I startes taking them about 9 months ago! So my question now is ...have any of you heard of this before?

If you have been able to get pregnant in the past but your husband has never had kids, you definitely need to get a semen analysis done for him. If there is a problem with his sperm you can try all the natural fertility stuff you want but you will just be wasting your time!

So there must have been some truth in the melatonin effecting cycles and ovulation! 2 months after stopping the melatonin...we finally got our BFP! :)
