My midwife booked me for a scan at the hospital tomorrow to make sure everything's okay. I guess it's protocol with 41+ weekers though I could've opted out of it.

You're in Madison, right? Where did you go? I had two acupuncture treatments when I was pregnant with DD2, who came one day after the second treatment at 41w3d. I hope it does the trick for you. I am only 38w1d, but I am preparing myself to be quite "overdue" again. Ugh.

I just went to my friend at her house! But if you're interested I can message you her information-- she works out of Isthmus Acupuncture. We might try to squeeze in a treatment today, if not definitely tomorrow.

Please do. smile.gif If I get to that point, you will be busy with a new babe, so I won't want to bother you then!

41. 3 and still no complaints other than isn't she ready yet?!? I'm so ready to meet her smile.gif I started b&b to see if I have any luck. My midwife gave me an enema kit and told me how to use castor oil of I want to try before 42 weeks. I'm not really sure what ill do if I hit 42 weeks, I know I don't want a hospital birth so maybe stay home? I plan on getting the 41 week NsT and ultrasound the day before 42 weeks just to be on the safe side if I do decide to stay home smile.gif

I'm starting to feel like this has all been an elaborate joke and there actually isn't a baby in there. I've tried literally everything I can find to get labour to start and absolutely nothing is even giving me any contractions. Accupressure led to some brief hope when I got a couple BH but nothing came of them and there were only a handful.

I'm 41 + 2 now and I don't want an induction but I'm starting to realize that it may be the only way.

Teles, I hope you don't stress too much!  You're only 1 day past the average for first time moms!

Throwing myself a huge pity party today at 41+4 before I go meet with the OB to discuss induction. I'm past due by anyone's count and have yet to have any contractions or signs of labour. Probably going to get a third membrane sweep today but I'm so defeated at this point that I don't have any faith that it'll work.

Is anyone even still out there in this ddc that is overdue?

Teles, I feel the same way!! So much of it still doesn't feel real.

Im getting ultra close to 42 weeks! two more days!

Still pregnant, still doing acupuncture, still EPO...I can't even get a membrane sweep because my cervix is still too closed.  41+ 4 and low fluid the midwives at the hospital are looking to schedule an induction but I am still trying to keep them at bay....

41 weeks... I guess it's time to join this club. I've done acupuncture, reflexology, chiro, raspberry leaf tea, two 24 hr homeopathic inductions back to back and eaten all the suggested foods and somehow contorted body into DTD w DH. My new approach is to forget about it. I had a little mini glass of wine this evening, gave myself a new due date and am planning to just try to rest. The little one is just not ready.

Typebug, I am with you. I just washed my hardwood floors (becauee they needed it) and am going for a walk in a bit (because my kids are driving me crazy), but tonight I am taking a bath and drinking some wine. I am 40w5d, but 41w3d based on LMP. My pastor's wife is a massage therapist and showed me some accupressure points after church this morning, but I don't think I have it in me anymore. And I am done with EPO. I am tired of that stuff leaking out and rolling between my butt cheeks while I lie in bed. Ha!

I'm still pregnant too!! Goodness this little one just is too comfy. EDD is 2/16 or 2/19 depending on what date you use. I do have some random contx but nothing to write home about & lots of show. SHOULD BE THIS WEEK though!!!

Hang in there mamas!! Our babies will be coming out soon!!!

Adding another voice . . . still pregnant here, too!  41+5 weeks by LMP (41+1 by midwife's best guesstimate based on the length of my cycle).  Scheduled for a non-stress test this week at 42 weeks, hoping not to have to make any decisions about fancy ways of inducing labor and such.  We've planned a homebirth and our midwife prefers not to go longer than 43 weeks with people, although I get the sense that she doesn't have a hard & fast rule about this . . . but still.

I think the hardest part of the waiting is believing that things will actually happen!  This whole pregnancy I've believed in my body's ability to birth and been so excited about it, but now that we're doing the waiting thing I'm having doubts that the body actually knows how to go into labor.  Birth . . . pshaw.  No big deal.  Labor actually happening?  Not so sure.

Anyway, that's what my brain is doing to itself lately.  Glad to know I'm at least not the only one still pregnant!

Thank you!

Group hug Mammas! grouphug.gif Lets let due dates go and all raise a glass in toast to babies who are just not ready to appear yet.

Sounds good to me. I had a small glass of wine during my bath tonight, and it was wonderful. Times like this make me happy I have a nice, deep soaking tub. smile.gif

Ha!  I need to go get some wine . . . every time I've thought about it while out, I feel like everyone is watching the pregnant lady walk down the liquor aisle and I lose my nerve.  Time to let go!
