I have no willpower! Help!

What are your tips for not eating that last "X"? I was so bad, I had nachos after a very healthy dinner. Then I ate 2 Hershey's Kisses, the 3rd one I chewed a bit then spit out. What is wrong with me!? Why can't I stop this intense craving for sweets/fats?
I'm trying so hard to work out and be healthy, but I can't seem to get a grip on my cravings...

Sometimes I think "I hate me." But then I think well, I'm a really nice person, get a grip! What happened to those carefree days of eating and not gaining a pound!

Aww, I have a hard time so I really dont have that many tips......sometimes if I get a really strong craving I try just to have a bite.....and then be done with it. Or make a cup of tea first......it makes me feel more full and then I dont think about the other stuff so much.

By the way, love your sons name, thats my brothers name. LOL

I also have zero will power. I can't have anything that I like in the house or I will eat the whole thing. I've been doing so good but then a friend came over tonight and brought chocolate oreo type cookies by Health Valley. Argh, I couldn't stop. I ate like 6 of them . I'm so mad at myself but man were they good! :LOL At least they were organic and made with wheat flour and not white. That's got to count for something, right?

I don't keep sweets/junk in the house because I have NO will power. I usually have my bad stuff when I am out of the house. Lately I haven't though. I am telling myself if I loose during the week, then I can have 1 reward. I CANNOT have chocolate every time I leave the house "just because we don't have it at home" :LOL

Only 6 cookies, I would have eaten the whole bag. Seriously, a bag of cookies lasts about 2 days in this house.. UGGGHHHH. That's why they are not allowed in anymore.

I read in some womens mag. that one woman drank water, another brushed her teeth every time she had a craving. Well I tried the water thing, I peed a lot and then ate some candy I had hidden.

I will keep trying...

Thanks for your responses, glad I'm not the only one.

Hmm. I know how you feel, that's for sure.
I'm the same as other posters said....if it's in the house it goes very quickly. So 1) Don't keep it in the house 2) Keep drinking the water since it's good for you
amd 3) is an idea I got from another thread somewhere, that suggested eating whatever you want but: only eat half to portion you normally would...if you're still hungry after 30 minutes eat some more and 4) eat some protien just before you eat something like candy, you'll fill up a little with something healthy and it will even your blood sugar out so you won't keep craving more and more (as much )

I've been dealing with this issue too and the above has been helping me for the last few weeks. I'm still not perfect, but it's improving
