Gagging ALL THE TIME

Honestly I have never had this in pregnancy before. Yes gagging with eating/brushing teeth ect but this time out of nowhere I start coughing and gagging. I just don't get it. It's driving me crazy!!!

Well, not exactly the same thing, but I have so much mucus built up that it causes me to gag and it's definitely from the pregnancy. I also still gag at brushing my teeth. I do find it helps to use a good mouthwash after since water makes me gaggy too, but can't swish it long or that will also cause gagging. I never had this with my other kids either. Oh the joys of pregnancy. hehe

This is me exactly!  It is making me NUTS!  I don't need any encouragement to throw up as it is...all this gagging just makes things worse!!

Bah! Me too with the gagging. I've always gagged on my toothbrush when pregnant, but this is a first for me. Just random gagging. So often a sneeze (which I'm doing frequently) or cough will turn into a gag. Fortunately, it's not causing me to throw up, but it certainly doesn’t make my stomach feel any better. Boo! I sure hope this goes away soon.

WOW! and I thought I was the only one that toothbrush issue happened to. I never wanted to tell anyone and it happens every time I'm PG. I have noticed with this one more than the other ones that random gagging seems to happen often. I think sometimes it's still the smell of something that gets me initially but other times it's just like .... I'm fine then BAM! gag for 5 minutes then it's over. I work really hard to take care of my teeth so the brushing thing makes me nuts. I keep hoping to find a way around it but no luck yet

Frequently, the gagging on my toothbrush has been the first tip off that I was pregnant. With my first, I was throwing up a least three times a day up until six months and it continued all the way to the end, just not quite as bad. I had to stop brushing my teeth, because the gagging was so bad it would just make me throw up. Seemed kind of pointless to brush, then throw up. I just started using an anti plaque mouthwash. It sucked.

I gag every time I floss or brush too. My other pregnancies were horrible for it and left me with bad tooth problems. This time is much better but still unpleasant. If I'm feeling really gaggy, I just brush with water and that is better.

Interesting. For me, it's definitely the toothbrush in my mouth that causes the gagging, not the toothpaste.
