twins birthday party

I have twins boy/girl who are turning 5 years old in March.  They are both in the same preschool class and I was wondering do I send out the invites to their party with both names or do I send all the girls in the class with my daughters name on the invite and all the boys in the class with my sons name?  I am not sure what proper etiquette is and I don't want people to feel obligated to bring a gift for both my children..Any comments/thoughts would be appreciated!

Anytime we've been invited to a twin birthday party, the invite has had both children's names on it and we've brought two presents. I've never seen it any other way.

Thanks so much for your feedback, I just feel bad cause I don't think its fair for someone to have to bring a gift for both children if their child only really only play with 1...thought I could just send out invites to the boys for my son and the girls for my daughter, but people who I've spoken with have said the same thing that its a joint party therefore both names should be on invite...Thanks again!!

Same here, the invitation has always come from both children, and we bought two presents (after wondering if I should get them the identical gifts or not.!)

My children are 8 (B/G twins) and the years they had parties we sent out a joint invite (but separate thank yous).

They rec'd mostly shared gifts which are nice for us and less expensive for the party goers.
