Tillymonster, I feel for you and how your life is upside down right now!! I am about to start a major move as well with my fiancé, 2 children and my mom ( we all currently live together and have since my dad died in 2005). I need to sell the current house we live in which is no small task since it is "unique"!! Beautiful but not in the right location for our newly blended family. My fiancé has a home which is gutted to the studs in a much better location but its not even close to done!!! I also need to organize the finances and the contractors to get the job done in about 3-4 months. So that we can move in, have this little bean and get our older 2 girls into the new school system before school starts. I am trying not to freak out !!!!

Wondering if we will be able to sell my house in a timely fashion is a huge stress as well along with getting the house sale ready and cleaner than we normally live is no small task especially with how sick I've been. This place is trashed right now greensad.gif

I hope things come together for you as well!! I hope it takes a long time till September comes along cause I have sooo much to do!!!

Taco Bell, 5 guys, chocolate, etc. They say that what you eat has long term effects on the baby, but maybe the baby is ALREADY a junk food junkie, and imposing his/her will on me.

The same thing happened with DD1-- I feel like now that I look back, I ate JUNK in the 1st and last part of the 3rd trimester, it was hard to resist. This time around I'm having the same problem. Might be worse because I'm running around after a toddler.

What are you ladies eating? I desperately need ideas. We had breadsticks for dinner tonight. Yes, they were homemade but I didn't feel like mother/wife of the year, let me just say. ROTFLMAO.gif

Thank you so much for telling me your story. I remember a HUGE stress selling our home last May-- so I was just there. You probably feel like I do-- time flying by and feeling hopeless as to planning what the next move is! I made my hubs clean the apartment today-- one plus of him being home from work. And wow he does a GREAT job! Pity party over for now...

I am also super sad about Matthew in Downton Abbey! You think he left because he wanted more money or was offered another more promising role on some other show? I read some rumor sites hinting to that... Poor Mary!

Well, I'm not sure how big of a list you want, but here are the high points of what I eat daily:

- My breakfast is usually toast with pastured butter and 2 pastured fried eggs, and a glass of raw whole milk. Sometimes I make scrambled eggs with goat cheese and have that on toast. I don't often need a snack before lunch (I'm not nauseous otherwise I'd snack more) if I have two eggs and a whole slice of toast.

- Lunch is anything from peanut butter toast, yogurt, cheese, leftovers, smoked salmon and crackers, a couple spoonfuls of PB

Snacks - nuts, spoonful of peanut butter, yogurt, cheese, glass of milk

- dinner - I have a big rotation of favorite recipes I regularly make. We don't have a lot of starch at dinner, but occasionally have rice or potatoes. I've cooked half as much these last few weeks as I normally do. The other night, we had cheese tortellini from safeway with pesto sauce, and I added chicken that I sauted and sliced, plus peas and pine nuts and parmesan. It was decent.

I haven't been huge into fruit very much, but I do really enjoy slicing an apple and eating it with Tillamook cheddar cheese.

Right now, my snack at almost 10:30 pm is organic blue corn tortilla chips dipped in a mixture of cream cheese and red pepper relish, and a glass of milk. Soooo good.

Tillymonster - I am eating a lot of variety, but nothing in great quantity.  You know that book, A Very Hungry Caterpillar, where he eats a whole through all the foods, then falls asleep?  I am the caterpillar!  For breakfast, I have a bacon, egg, and cheddar wrap made with 2-3 eggs.  Then, around 10 or so, I have an apple (good) or bowl of cereal (bad) or chips and salsa.  Lunch is grilled cheese with tomato and lunchmeat alongside sweet potato fries, or fishsticks and sauteed zucchini, something like that.  Dinner is the fancy meal (hah!) and last night we had cod with strawberry sauce, rice pilaf and roast asparagus. Tonight is Japanese curry with rice, and tomorrow has homemade sushi on the list!  Can you tell I crave fish?!  If I don't feel like cooking/eating, spaghetti with marinara and broccoli bites (broccoli, eggs, breadcrumbs, cheese mixed and baked into patties) with ranch is my go-to easy meal.  Last pregnancy, I lived on antipasti salad made with artichoke hearts, grilled red onion, goat or feta cheese, cooked zucchini rounds and chickpeas.  Put it on lettuce or eat it straight, but it was good!  I can talk about food all day.  I think in my past life, I was a chef...

On a personal whiny note, my midwife cancelled my very-anxiously-awaited appointment today because she had a birth at the center.  The BEST reason possible to have a cancelled appointment (and good thoughts towards that laboring mama!), but I am eager to hear my 11 week old baby's heartbeat and to makes this pregnancy feel real.  So now, I won't have an appointment until into my second trimester!  I know one of our local college has their sonography students do free sonos for the community, so I am thinking about calling them up and seeing when I can next go.

Hey Mama's!

Thought I would say hi. Some days it feels like September will be here so soon then others it feels like it will take forever! Especially here in Wisconsin. We will have nice weather, then bam we wake up to more snow
Blahhh.

This is our fifth and I look huge! LOL I thought I was nutty for thinking I was feeling movement early. I have felt little flutters starting around 7 wks
Now they have been more frequent bumps. smile.gif I meet a Midwife next week
Excited to see what she says.

I finally got my 12 week scan and all is well! So now it's so much more real. Oh and now I'm due on the 1st instead of the 4th.

Sorry about your cancelled appointment adenn! Good reason, but that's still disappointing.

Congrats on seeing your baby nettlesoup!

I'm starting to wonder if I've felt some movement a couple of times. I was lying down nursing DS last night and I felt some pushing/fluttering low in my pelvis. As soon as I felt it I thought "baby", but I'm not going to call it for sure as I'm only 10 weeks tomorrow. I felt my first at 15 weeks or so (with an anterior placenta) and my second around 13, so I have a history of feeling movement pretty early. I guess time will tell.

As far as Downton, I knew ahead of time what was going to happen, and was very glad I did actually. Too traumatic otherwise wink1.gif. Hubby and I were talking about how if I was in that family, I'd be terrified to have a baby. Every time they have a baby, someone dies within 12 hours.

I'll need to look out for baby movement since some of you guys are feeling it. Mine was certainly active at the scan today!

Yay!

I'm starting to feel back to my old self - not as tired, and not as emotional.

I was starting to freak out about feeling like nothing's happening and get really anxious for our scan next week; but in the last few days both DH and me have been able to feel the top of the uterus (which we couldn't before), which has been very reassuring and got me back to my previous chill state of mind ("no news either way, I'll take it as good") - so now instead of dreading the scan like I was starting to do, I'm looking forward to it as a free way to get a look at the fetus (since it is after all a diagnostic scan, and I feel no need for the tech to linger as long as we get a look at the little parasite and its heartbeat smile.gif

I'm glad you're feeling happier about it Chispita. I was a bit worried with mine as well due to minor pains I had been feeling, but all was fine and well. It's also great that you're starting to feel better, it must be a relief!

I think I might be feeling slightly better due to the fact that I basically just spent the last 2 hours researching Asian gluten free foods ( my family is gluten intolerant) so I can ask my fiancé to bring home quality take out that he can enjoy as well. I hope I succeeded!!! Less than 8 mins from his work I found a highly recommended Asian restrauant that over the phone knew all about their gluten free menu choices! But the best part came when he told me that the 2 things I really wanted we're infact available!!!! I can't wait for the next 3 hours to pass!!!!! I am going to order nime chow and pad Thai.

I've been living on little to no food except the few things I sneak in, basically eggs, toast, ham and fruit. Then this week things have started to get better!!!!!!! I'm just 13 wks. Lets cross my fingers it continues!!!! Can you tell on happy?orngtongue.gif

I hope you enjoyed your Asian food LetniaLynne!

My almost 4 year old daughter came out with a good one today. She was looking at a clothing catalogue which had just come through the door and saw a bag. She then said; "A handbag! You could put the baby in it!" When I explained that you don't put babies in handbags, she got this confused look and said; "But how will you carry it when we go for a walk?" So I showed her photos of me carrying her in a sling which she seemed to approve of.

Is anyone getting a lot of discomfort in bed? Every morning when I wake up, my lower back, hips and legs really ache. My back is at its worst when I've been lying on it, so I avoid that position, which just means my hips really hurt instead. It's a bit annoying. I doubt there's anything I can do about it though.

Oh, and I must share last night's bizarre dream. I dreamt that I was on a date with Benedict Cumberbatch as he is in the new Star Trek, and because he's a bad guy in that, he trapped me in a lift and left me. And I was really upset because I really liked him and he was mean. And I also keep having really graphic sex dreams, which is a bit odd for me! It's especially bad when it involves people I would have nothing to do with in real life. The annoying thing is that in waking life I have no sex drive whatsoever!

Pregnancy really is the most surreal trip ever!

Nettlesoup- your dream about Benedict Cumberbatch is hilarious! Haha I love him and I love Star Trek. Very excited for it to come out. Also, I have graphic sex dreams too, but have zero desire in real life. So glad I'm not the only one!

I'm glad I'm not the only one as well!! The weird thing about Benedict Cumberbatch is, I've only ever seen him in Atonement. But the dream has made me want to watch Sherlock to see what the fuss is about.

I don't know about discomfort in bed but I can't remember the last time I slept through the night without waking up at least 3 times to use the bathroom! It was probably oh, say about 11 weeks ago, but since then I seem to have to get up every night!

We really enjoyed Sherlock, each one is like a movie.

Last night I had sad dreams about missing my cat who we put down last November, and then about someone's black and white great dane whose right front leg had been amputated and was lying dead at the bottom of a pool...

The night before I dreamed that a chiropractor was zapping my brain with an electric current and from the pattern determined that I was in the lower IQ population. I was upset about that because I'd always thought I was of higher than average intelligence. I could feel the electricity buzzing through my head, it wasn't painful but not pleasant either.

Yesterday I spent a shorter amount of time than expected on the phone with the insurance company trying to determine the cost of delivery at the hospital vs using the birth center. I need to call them back today though so hopefully that will be just as smooth. I was pleasantly surprised with how easily I ended up getting the information I needed.

Yeah, I'm up 2-3 times a night to pee as well. Even before getting pregnant I used to refer to myself as Tiny Bladder Woman and it's just gotten worse. For my ultrasound yesterday the place we were going to wanted me to drink 32oz of water two hours before the procedure which was just a.... NO. I ended up drinking about half that about 45 minutes before and spent the entire time really really having to pee.

I am having the vivid sex dreams too. Sometimes right when I wake up I am still in the mood. Otherwise, not so much, but that part has been my normal for a while now. We have had a lot of stress surrounding his kids/ex, and stress turns me right off. I don't know how the heroines in books and movies mange to always have sex in a crisis. Maybe that is evidence they were written by men.

I woke up on Wednesday - when I would be 12w by ovulation date, instead of LMP - and I wasn't nauseous. and I was hungry. And I stayed hungry all day long. I ate so much and I was still hungry. I was never sick. Not even carsick on my commute! It was the craziest thing. This morning I even ate an egg for breakfast. I feel like I have turned a magical corner (knock on wood).

I'm (hopefully) reselling our leftover fertility drugs today to a patient at our fertility clinic. That chunk of change is more than we planned to spend on cloth diapers. I am so excited for this windfall. I thought it would take 6+ months to re-sell that stuff. We're telling the remainder of our family tonight at a big family dinner. Week 12 has been the best so far.

Congratulations Mrsandmrs!!! I will be 10 weeks tomorrow, and have been feeling better in the mornings, but still feel queasy, and sometimes gag out of nowhere in the afternoons and evenings. Thank you for giving me hope!
