I've been feeling birthy for about a week now. We have been calling it labor week and are emotionally doing great. So thankful for that!

Had 48 hours of crampiness which wrapped up when the baby ( who I assume was fighting against it) engaged and dropped in lower. Got a full night of rest and all yesterday. Then last night I lost some goopy brown tinged plug. Was having spaced ctx. They woke me a few times through the night and are still happening. They pick up when I'm standing and slow when I am sitting. Had more mucus come out, but with a more reddish/ pink show in it.

Feel great! My Edd was

My dates weren't exact, but my window to hit 40 weeks was between 3/22 and 3/29 for sure.

Today or tomorrow maybe? smile.gif

Sounds promising, hiking for truth, try to get out for a walk and moon bathe your tummy tonight! Good luck.

I've been up since about midnight with fairly regular contractions. They were 7-9 minutes apart but I've been trying to slow them down since DP is out of town until the morning and doesn't seem to have his phone on or service where he is.

I drank a bunch of water and am sitting in a now-cooling bath. It seems to be working. The last two were 25 minutes apart.

I hope this dissipates. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow I was hoping to get to.

How are you feeling nearlyelated?

I woke up around 3:45 this morning with contractions and bloody show (which was a bit grosser than I was expecting!) Been having contractions every 5-10 minutes since then... Trying not to get my hopes up that this is it, but at the same time I need to figure out whether or not I should send my husband to work in a couple hours.  I was 4cm dialated and 90% effaced at my appointment yesterday and I am 40 weeks today, so I'm guessing the real deal isn't far off.

Blah! I've been having strong-ish contractions since yesterday afternoon. They got down to about 6 minutes apart but I was able to get some sleep and they spaced out a bit over night though they woke me up regularly and have been quite uncomfortable (but manageable). Now I'm in a holding pattern and it's no fun. Pretty sure baby is posterior and that's a big part of the holdup. The contractions are still consistantly 6 - 12 minutes apart. My doula/mentor/friend (who has been at all of my births) is out of town as of yesterday (through the 10th), her partner is also out of town (I didn't think she was leaving for a few days still) so I'm a little bummed about that. The doula that will be here is a friend and she was at DD2's birth so I trust her completely, just sad that my "ideal" team isn't available. Thankfully my mw doesn't leave for a few more days (stupid Midwifery Today conference out of state...)

I really hope I'm not in for days of this! The contractions hurt but aren't unbearable yet. Just ate lunch. I think I'm going to get dressed and go for a walk. Maybe some fresh air will get things moving.

Lost the mucous plug 2 nights ago, followed by watery discharge every now and then. Last night the watery discharge turned into little gushes that soaked my panties and then a pad, so my water is definitely broken. Contractions happened all last night 10 mins apart, 30 secs long, but this morning they petered off. I'm just hoping and praying for active labor to kick in very soon...with water broken, I'm on the clock. Haven't told my OB yet....had my midwife come in to check, baby looks good.

I'm hoping for a vbac, so can't be induced....

Lots of love and ELVs, keeptryst!! You can do this smile.gif. I'll be thinking about you.

I'm up having contractions, whats new lol. They have mostly been in the front lately, which is good.

Good luck sunshine and tryst!!

Good luck keeptryst! I had similar gushes but was told it was still just discharge, so maybe you aren't so much on the clock.

Sunshine I was just thinking this is your time and got on to see if you had updated. Labor vibes your way!!

Good luck keeptryst and sunshine! Keeptryst - I also had gushes of discharge in the 3 or so weeks leading up to delivery, but then I had a slightly bigger gush and continual leak one day and it DID turn out to be broken water. I delayed going in to get checked and really, really wish I hadn't, since I ended up with a suspected infection that gave me a fever of 104 and added complications to my labor. :( So, if you do think that your water is broken, I would definitely recommend getting that checked out...
