I did text the MW to let her know what's up, and she said to call her if I couldn't get more than 1 hour of sleep at a time, but it was a non-issue, as contractions pretty much stopped not long after my last post here.  Phew!

Twiddlin' time soon!
I bet you and I will be twiddling together... I feel fine this morning, and now I'm dreaming about nesting!

TMI

Well I went from constipated to diarrhea overnight. Feel horrible but maybe it's a sign?

Need to do some laundry!

MP- How are things going now? Thinkin about you, hang in there!

babytoes - your countdown's almost over :) I will say those cleaning outs are lovely! Never thought I'd be so excited to poop!

AFM - Saturday night I got blasted with an incapacitating vertigo and dizziness. DH said he'd never seen so much vomit. I was not relishing the idea that this might be what my labors are like. Especially for feeling overall pretty good in pregnancy I was worried. We did some of the vertigo manuevers and that helped a bit but still dizzy. Silly body.

Fast forward to now, 38w 6d I'm able to eat again (yay!) and I'm still feeling dizzy and unsteady on my feet. Not going out or driving really. My mw thinks it may be allergies or a low grade virus that's messing with my inner ear. I'm on decongestants and antihistamines. Hoping this baby stays put until I'm not feeling so dizzy all the time. But this little cub of mine feels like it's dropping. I can't tell if cub is slowly doing spins on my cervix, or if it's opening. Been going on since last night and it just feels wierd....and holy smokes have I had some nice BM recently.

The vomit-fest did light a fire under DH to want to come up with the top name list though! He did not want to be that couple that delivered and hadn't settled on a name. We have our top 2 boy and girl names now. Yay!

Finished MW appt, so that's down (for insurance)! Just 5 or so more hours until The full Green Light!

I've been doing all sorts of stuff today...a jog with DS2 (!!!), grocery shopping, cleaning up the house, and began knitting a newborn cap. Then after resting for a while I had a small gush of fluid that soaked through my underwear and a little into my pants. Waiting to see if there is any more to come or if it's just watery discharge. 10 Min ago contractions picked up--stronger and timeable, but I don't know if they are irregular yet or not.

Buko -  you should be almost there - yeah! Just another hour or so to go (is it stalkerish that I did the math?)

Babytoes - I agree with you - trying to make it to March!  Sounds like you are ready to go anytime. I'm still waiting to lose my mucus plug and kick these BH up a notch to the real thing and trying to be prepared for a possible 3 more weeks

micah and writer -  maybe baby soon?

So excited for all of you!

Not stalkerish at all!  DH is at Immigration, starting the process right now, and it shouldn't take more than an hour.  That's my Green Light, although Dr. Mom's plane doesn't touch down for 2 hours and DH probably won't have her home for maybe 3-4 hours.  But still, as long as my MWs' appointment was made (it was) and DH's Green Card stuff taken-care-of (almost), then I am feeling good.  smile.gif

Well, ya made it buko. good for you.

Nah, wildman, I don't think this is it. This is just the third session of "maybe". My contractions were 5-7 min lasting 30-45 sec for about an hour and then I stopped timing them. They feel the same as the last time I thought "maybe" and they are are irregular. Besides I'll know soon enough if they pick up or not without having to watch a clock. I am guessing for now that the fluid was cervical and not my BOW as the gush has not happened again. I wonder how many more times I might be kind of fooled into thinking this could be it before it really takes off?

Yay!  DH just texted that his Green Card is officially renewed!  Phew!  Dr. Mom texted she is at the airport and about to board her flight (she only lives 500 miles away, so it's a short flight).  Woo hoo, because I've had a couple contractions today.  I'm sure, for the 1000th time, that I have a ways to go yet, but PHEW IS ALL I CAN SAY!

Oh my, so many bodies preparing for birth! Super exciting!!!

I am not feeling birthy at all yet, which is good, since I'm not due until March 29th. Still, I suddenly feel like I'm mentally ready for a baby to show up, which is the biggest thing that really needed to happen. smile.gif

Congrats Buko!!!  Phew indeed!!

I'm not feeling birthy, either, but don't expect to for a little bit yet (knocking on wood!!!)

Yes, so many bodies preparing for birth is right and you are all so calm and accepting about it now being the real deal!.......I haven't had any exciting run of contractions or lost any mucous plug, and today was my hospital due date, but i'd find it hard not to believe 'this is IT!' given any 'show'. I made a fresh juice this morning with beetroot in it and mentally warned myself not to get a start if my urine was tinged red later (it's happened before.)

Good luck ladies, I'm not sure which of you I'd put my money on to deliver next......

SlimP I'm betting on babytoes or writermama!

Writermama is my guess. :)

I keep having regular contractions but not increasing strength or anything. Just annoying. No show, hardly any mucus even so I'm thinking a week or two at least for me.

Same today, but I should be used to it. My labors do this for weeks, then bam, out comes a baby. It's a lot of hurry up and wait, lol
post #96 of 377
Oh, I just wanted to say I read all the updates, but just have a few minutes on my phone at a time. :/
You are all in my thoughts though!

I'm starting feel birthy - also had a little gush and some cramping but mostly I can feel babe low down and pushing on my cervix. I hope it's sometime before next Wednesday because my favourite midwife is on call til then. Unfortunately I'm pooped today and all the furious nesting of the week has faded and there is so much laundry to do. I even *gasp* left a couple of pots in the sink to wash at some unspecified future time...

No sign of a mucus plug though, but as I understand it losing it isn't always a sure thing?

Well, had dinner with Dr. Mom and we're safe at home-- all is well!  I don't mind Buks hanging out for a while longer, but anytime is fine!

With 7 babies, I've never lost it until well into labor... so hey, you never know...

Wowza! I definitely won't take it as a sure thing then.
