Movement/Quickening

I haz it. :)

I felt this baby way earlier than my last pregnancy and I am guessing it's just because I know what it feels like, plus my placenta is probably posterior.

Tiny little unmistakeable flutters at 12 weeks. Like a feather quickly tickling the inside of my belly skin. Loving it :)

Who else is feeling movement and what does it feel like?

I feel baby about once a day. Little flutter and some twirls sort of. It's great. I felt the last one around 12 weeks, but my first not until like 20. This time I have a posterior placenta so I think it helps.

I've been feeling movement since my dating ultrasound at 8 weeks 2 days when she very roundly bounced off of the ultrasound wand because the gel was cold.  My girlfriend has also felt her move only just last night, at just under 15 weeks, which I thought was pretty awesome, since my boyfriend definitely felt our son at about this far along with my last pregnancy :)

To me it feels like light but deliberate thumps, and sometimes little flutters, and I have definitely felt them moving upwards as my uterus expands.

I've been feeling movement since about 12 weeks.  It's mostly flutters but sometimes a bit more.

First time I didn't really recognize the movement until about 20 weeks.

I've been feeling movement for a few weeks too - starting to become more consistent in that I feel it everyday at least. It feels more like bubbles and once in awhile distinct knocks. I stillheart.gif it!! I felt it for the first time at 16 weeks with DD - I had a posterior placenta with her and apparently this time it's fundal (top of fundus?).

Carmen, me too! I have felt the distinct "knocks" a few times and I just want to feel them all the time! :-) It's like I'm addicted.

I felt flutters by 13 weeks and have felt some kicks/thumps in the last couple of weeks (16 now). I'm wishing it was more consistent for the reassurance it offers! I think I feel a good one about once a day but I'm not always paying close attention.

I've been feeling this little one since the end of 10 weeks. It started as flutters just once in a while, but I can now feel little thumps! I'll be 14 weeks on Thursday

I started feeling some flutters at around 10 weeks. Haven't felt much in the last week or so, I imagine baby has just moved somewhere quiet...

I felt a definite and distinctive poke from the babe this morning, I could even feel it from the outside!joy.gif

I think I feel an occasional prod or brush. It could just be wishful thinking!

The night after I posted here, I felt some distinct pops from baby - I could actually feel them with my hand!  I can't wait to feel REAL movements! :D :D

I've been having more and more distinct thumps.  I think she is doing somersaults, she kept doing them when the u/s tech was trying to get the NT measurement. biggrinbounce.gif

I can now feel movement everywhere. Sometimes really low near my pubic bone, and other times really high near my navel!! I either have a really active baby or my husband is right and there are 2 in there

I've got movement! I felt it first sometime between week 17 and week 18. Now I get quite a few pokes and prods several times a day, usually on the right side. I absolutely love it. For now.

I felt my first at 18w5d, this one at 15w6d :)

Blah and that was the last of it.  Nothing since...

The two times I've been pretty sure I felt something was shortly after drinking a coke and eating a slice of cake.

I might have to go get a Coke today.  lol.gif

I've been feeling some thumps down low in the same spot now - before when I couldn't decide if they were or weren't, they were kind of all over.

GISDiva-- how far along are you? I've been feeling the low thumps too, and that's about it.

Cardigan, when I read that you ate cake. I imagined it to be coconut cake. Mmm... So now I want coconut cake. And pop. And baby movements!
