I've been having lots of thumping...usually when I'm sitting still. I actually seem to feel more when I'm sitting rather than laying down. It's all still quite low with only a few thumps that really feel like kicks closer up towards my belly button...maybe half way?

Hmm. Me too! I am 17-4. Good to know I'm not the only one feeling just low thumps.

I am 17-5 and haven't felt anything, but then again this is my first and I'm not sure I would recognize anything subtle. I feel a little nervous since so many of you have felt something already... and I don't have my next appointment until 20 weeks.

Ha, so after all my worry and finally getting that appointment yesterday, I got two nice distinct thumps while taking a rare nap with my little man today. LOL  Baby has a sense of humor!!  (16+6 today)

Green- don't worry! Most first time mom's don't feel anything until around 20 wks or so.

Yeah, my first I felt at 18 and some (anterior placenta).  But for perspective, I felt my last little guy at 9 weeks!!  So I think I tend to feel things a little early - which is part of why I was freaking this time. :p

I felt my first at 20 weeks exactly, and this pregnancy I felt baby at 16 weeks. So definitely don't worry if you don't feel it right now!

My first I didn't feel until some time after 20 weeks.  Definitely earlier this time around.

No movement yet. Baby number 2 and 19 weeks. With first was around 24 weeks.

I've been feeling "iffy" movement for a week or two, with a few definite knocks in there sporadically.  I wondered if it meant my placenta was anterior for the first time.  I had my scan this morning, and it was confirmed.  I know it's not a big deal for the health of the pregnancy and the birth, but I am a little bummed.  I like the movement of pregnancy, even at the end when it gets crazy.  I might not have another pregnancy, so I hope I get to experience all the great parts this time around!  It looked like everything else was healthy and the right size, and I refrained from finding out the sex, so a surprise it will be in August   :)

Don't worry E, you still feel lots of movement once the baby is bigger. It's just in harder to notice in the beginning.

Very true.  It's not like you won't ever feel the baby, it just takes a wee bit longer.  I had an anterior placenta last time around (and maybe this time, I haven't decided what my gut feeling is yet, but we will find out in a couple of weeks), and believe me, those kicks and jobs are *plenty* noticeable in the third trimester!

I have a friend irl who swears she NEVER felt her DD...ever. I find that almost impossible to believe but she's not prone to lying so I have to believe her lol

Holy movement down there today!  But every time I try to see if I can feel it from the outside, Snickerdoodle hides because my hands are so flipping cold!

Same here (today).  I wonder what's going on!?!?

Hey ladies! I haven't been pregnant in 3 years but I *think* I may be feeling movement these last few days but it doesn't feel like the way I remember it starting with DD.  With her, it felt like bubbles popping.  I am almost 17 weeks and it feels like pinches?  Like quick little taps?  I can't describe it.  Maybe its not....I guess it doesn't matter, I will feel it eventually!

I've been feeling little pops all day. :)  That said, my upper belly (above the uterus) is twitching tonight and driving me NUTS.  My animal brain keeps trying to convince me it's the baby, but I know better! :p

I put DH's hand on my belly the other night and he could feel a bunch of kicks. love.gif  I think it took forever for him to feel anything last time around.
