I've been feeling movement for about three weeks now, but last night was the first time that I was able to feel it from the OUTSIDE as well - just two kicks a couple seconds apart. It definitely brought it home to me that there is something alive and active inside of me. My love ran over to feel for himself, but the babe tends to go very still when he is close, as though to actively listen to every word he says. So no dice for him. Soon enough, I'm sure.

My husband had the most terrible time feeling it last time.  DS could be kicking me for an hour straight, but the second he put his hand there, nothing.  Their personalities sometimes clash to this day, so...

I'm trying to remember when it's normal to feel movement from the outside. I've been feeling internal movement since 11.5 weeks but I haven't felt anything from the outside yet (just past 17 weeks). I'm kind of looking forward to having my daughter feel the babies kick.

I think DH could feel around 24-26 weeks with dd1.

I started feeling flutters at 12 weeks but my DD and DS have both felt outside movement this week (18)! This babe is totally a night owl with most of its rumbles felt at night but that could be bc I'm still at night. Although today I felt babe several times after lunch!!! Whoo who!

I'm 19 weeks and I just started really feeling flutters last week. Even though it's neat to feel the baby, I really don't like the way it feels. Someone in this thread described it like a feather touching your skin from the inside. It's exactly like that. I can't wait until the baby is bigger so the movements feel bigger and the feather stuff goes away. Am I the only one that doesn't like the feeling? I feel kind of awful because that's my baby moving and how cool is that?

I hit 20 weeks on Monday and baby seemed to get much more active. I can feel some movement from the outside, too, which is awesome! I hope my kids can feel it before too long. It's not consistent enough yet to predict but it won't be long.

Don't feel bad. I think they feel like little aliens in there! It's a little creepy. I like them better on the outside XD

I'm 20 weeks now too and I feel like I'm still a couple of weeks away from anyone else feeling movement on the outside...could be I'm fluffier this time around. I can't remember when DP was able to feel DD.

I just got a kick on the outside last night.  My placenta is anterior, so I was really wiggling my uterus around, trying to get a feel for where baby was so I could use the fetoscope, and I got a cute response to all my pushing.  I didn't even bother to use the fetoscope, kicks are more fun than heartbeats any day!

I don't know what's happened in the last couple of days, but I am feeling lots more activity--stronger kicks and nudges and longer sessions of them. Still cannot feel from the outside, but I don't doubt that's coming soon. I am 19 weeks with number 3.

Okay, I **think** I may have felt the first movement yesterday and today. But it didn't feel like feathers like Boom described. I guess kind of like bubbles popping? I'm still not sure if that's what I'm feeling--maybe I'm just gassy, whuch would not be unusual! But I've felt it a lot...and it **is** kind of exciting!

Bubbles popping is exactly what it feels like to me early on..with both my DD and this pregnancy. I bet you are indeed feeling the little one :)

That's exactly how it has felt for me with my anterior placenta babies.  The flutters I only felt when I had a posterior placenta. :)  It's like strong, regular gas, but you don't pass gas after. :p
