@amlikam if whatever works for your relationship cool. I just wanted to know if other moms to be with placenta previa have been a "little" sexual frustrated as I am grrrr... Lmbo..

Hello, i`m going to update my "placenta previa adventures"

After I`ve lost my mucus plug and a piece of strange tissue, I had two massive bleedings, one at 22, another at 24 weeks. They put me in the hospital 1 week.

After the first bleeding, my doctor saw that I had left a very small amount of amniotic fluid... and said that I have probably ruptured membranes, and my amniotic fluid got out mixed with the blood I`ve lost... That means labour would start at 22 weeks!

Luckily, it didn`t. I had one more bleeding but no amniotic fluid got out, and tomorrow I`ll be 25 weeks pregnant.

The fluid is still in a small amount, poor baby has no space to move properly. I made a PROM test ( ruptured membranes test) and it showed up negative. Thanks God. Now the doctors have no explanation why is the fluid in such a small amount.

I`m home, at bedrest, hoping it`s going to be fine afterall.

I just found out yesterday that my placenta has moved and the previa is all gone!  I am so happy I don't have to worry about that anymore.  I really did not want to have an early baby or a c-section.  Has anyone else heard news about your placenta lately?  I hope they all move for you so you can have a safer labor and not be so sexually frustrated.  winky.gif

Pokey, congrats ! Can you please tell me how far from the cervix was  the placenta at the last ultrasound, and how long ago you made the ultrasound ( I mean the ultrasound which showed the placenta was still previa)?

I ask you because at my last ultrasound ( 26 weeks) my placenta was still close to the cervix (2,7 centimeters) and I don`t know if there is really hope for me, if it still can move. I`m 27w 3 d now, and have my next ultrasound at 30 weeks. I hope I won`t go sooner because an another bleeding.

I know that a placenta is not anymore cosidered previa when it`s at least 10 cm from the cervix.

ulybka-Thank you!  I tried to ask my Dr for more specifics about where the placenta was, but I never got an answer so I don't know how far over the placenta was.  I had the first ultrasound at 20 weeks and it was a complete previa and I had the second one at 28 weeks and they said the previa was not there anymore.  10cm sounds like a large distance.  I assumed it was ok as long as it was not touching the cervix at all.  I hope yours continues to move and that you don't have any more bleeding or complications.  I know someone who had it and they kept checking it and it did end up moving close to her due date and she was able to deliver naturally.
