Thank you for the hugs and thoughts. Will be thinking of you and hoping that you find out sooner rather than later ESP.
Cathy I am really hoping everything from now on is uneventful.
The vascular surgeon should be trying to remove the filter in three weeks. He goes in at the neck and pulls the filter up and out. I am to not stop the blood thinners. So hopefully the filter comes out easily and I don't bleed too much. They will unfortunately be doing another ct though.

Oh my! That sounds really unpleasant

Is the idea that the clots won't be happening anymore because of the blood thinners? Or do they put the filter back in?

The last scan done in the hospital had clots from the filter, located behind my stomach, all the way down to my legs (they didn't scan my legs). The surgeon believes that this clot should be dissolved by the time of the procedure. Hopefully he is right.
