Dealing with chronic pain is so isolating and emotionally difficult, especially when no one knows exactly what it is causing the pain. Well today I found out that the debilitating pain in my hips and lower back is Sacroiliac Joint Hypomobility. My SI joints had almost no mobility in them at all, if you ignore it long enough they will fuse together permanently. Luckily my chiropractor is amazing and is helping me get mobility back! I'm able to walk again and my limp is almost gone. The bad news is that SIJ dysfunction is not the disease, just a symptom. I most likely have ankylosing spondylitis which is a form of arthritis. We'll find out for sure when we can get xrays and such after baby is born. I'm ok with this since I was already told I most likely have arthritis. Just having a name for it makes it better, I can do something about it now!
Does anyone have a recommendation for a beginners yoga video to help? Also is there any special diet that can help?
