Spughy, CONGRATS!!!!!! :) after pains are terrible! They get worse with each birth, supposedly. I hardly felt them after my first, but this time, I think they were worse than labor!
Can't wait to hear more!! :D
Wow, Astrid is such a long baby! I think the longest baby I've measured (hundreds) was 22.25." You must feel so much relief in your abdomen by having her in your arms and not in your belly anymore. ;) So happy for you! Can't wait to see a picture of your cutie!!!
Chapsie- are you serious? A friend of mine was a L&D nurse and she was amazed to meet my boys. The last 5 were all homebirthed and the shortest was 23 1/4". Two were 24"!! I am only 5'2" and have a short torso!! LOL Wondering what this girly in my belly will be like.
Well, there's not much action over here, Sunshine! I probably have a few days left. In glad I still have you to keep me company. :)
WOW!!! Yeah... that blows my mind! How tall is your DH? Average is about 20". A little 36 weeker is usually about 18" or so, but a full term baby is normally 19.5" to 20.5." My first was 21.75" and I thought that was really long!
Sometimes if there is a lot of moulding, swelling, or caput on the baby's head, it can skew the measurement a little bit. If I had a baby measure 23 or 24 inches, I'd probably be remeasuring it like 3 or 4 times to double check! haha. :)
My DD had a 37 cm head and a 18 cm belly... But she was only 20" so she was quite a chunky thing (9 lb 7 oz). With Astrid's length, I'm sure she looks a lot leaner. :)
