I'm shocked to see this too, Jodie, you are a fearless leader!
I've been super busy lately, and have been lurking around here lately. I'm just getting caught up on everyone's news!
AFM, I'm in a sort of grey zone of readiness. I've spent most of my pregnancy feeling ready and now that it's getting closer I'm starting to get nervous. I'm banking on having a few weeks off before beb comes, but I'm not confident that that will happen, even though I went to 41w5 with DS. I still have to go through all the bins of baby clothes in the basement and sort out the newborn stuff, figure how I'm going to get my newborn cloth diapers back from a friend whose 3.5 month baby is only 9lbs, and who is likely still using them. DP is coming to my prenatal appointment with me on March 14 (a group appointment on comfort measures) to pick up the pool from them. I'll be 38 weeks by then. But otherwise most of the 'stuff' I need to do to get ready is mental prep for the birth. I'm planning a home VBAC and one of my midwives seems a little more nervous about it than the other, so I'm hoping that the other is the one on call when I go into labour.
Fun? I've been knitting and sewing a lot lately, and DP and I enjoy our board games. I've been having a great time with DS lately as he's started to have interest in more challenging jigsaw puzzles. I'm looking forward to reading more non-birth material after the baby is born, but I am a bit of a birth junkie and enjoy reading research etc. even when I'm not pregnant.
