MaterniT21 testing and cost? « Back to Group Discussions

I know some of you have had this test already and I wanted to know where you live (Canada or US etc) and how much you had to pay for the test?

We were told that the test isn't covered by insurance and our out of pocket is $235 because the test is $2700 but since it's new the company is doing a reduced fee so they can use your results as part of the research so to speak.

We were also told by the test company the max we'd have to pay (because we're insured with PPO) was about $235. We had our test at 11 weeks and at 25 weeks I still haven't gotten any bill from insurance or the company that does the test (though they have billed our insurance). Hoping that means we don't have to pay anything!

Just wanted to share that our results came back today and our sweet baby does NOT have Down syndrome and holy hell am I feeling happy and relieved .. even though this is something we felt strongly about and being 100% ok with I am still relieved that baby is ok!!
