We will be looking to move from Niantic soon and I would like to if possible live in a town that is more crunchy or has more crunchy people.

I love Niantic.  The Book Barn and Children's Museum are a frequent trip for us and it's so nice that it's close to the beach too--what makes you want to leave there?  Honestly, you're not going to find towns that are full of crunchy people in CT.  We have a pretty unique blend of people everywhere.  If the challenge is to meet people with similar interests, I'd suggest Fiddleheads food co-op in New London, or Willimantic food co-op.  Check the bulletin boards there for meetings, yoga, playgroups that you may be able to join.  When the weather is decent there are Farmer's Markets, festivals, etc.  Check out Bellani Maternity in Warwick, RI--they often have workshops and I think they do playgroups too.  Bean Tree Baby does cloth diapering workshops and swaps in West Hartford/New Britain area.  There are babywearing meetups around the state.  Have you found the CT Crunchy Mamas group on Facebook?  That may also be a good place to find people close to you.  I think it gets a little more traffic than this page.  Good luck mama!

We only have a short term rental here which is why we will be leaving the house we are in, we would consider staying here if we could find a rental closer to town, I don't drive so I need to be closer to things. I j=knew it was wishful thinking to think that their would be a town that had a larger concentration of crunchy people but I thought it couldnt hurt to ask ;). Where we live now in mnintic i never see may people at all and the ones i do are elderly, I was just hoping to meet up with other families, we are homeschooling right now and i wanted to find away for my son to still be around other kids plus the little ones could use some friends and to be honest I could too. I just recently found the crunchy mama group on fb but I will check into the other things you suggested as well, thank you.
