my hubby works long haul and is gone for 2 - 8 weeks at a time. it is so hard to plan the conceiving part of having another baby. has anyone else experienced this??

There are kits available to ship fresh sperm overnight. That might be an option.

Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to freeze it yourself. Banks use a special technique to freeze it quickly and deeply to preserve it and then keep it in special tanks on liquid nitrogen. When you pick it up from the bank, you can keep it cold in liquid nitrogen or dry ice in a freezer, but a regular freezer would not be cold enough. But you certainly could go to a bank and have them do it for you. A fertility specialist might also be capable of freezing and storing if they have the facilities.

So this is terribly funny but i found out a few days ago i AM pregnant lol!!! it was so funny cause my husband kept buggin me about my period, cause it is a short month. and we had just decided to wait a year and get in better shape and eat healthier and stuff. so i was talking to him and thought "well i will just quietly take a pregnancy test to PROVE to him that i am not pregnant"... and i almost choked on my tongue!!! i was yelling in the bathroom "OHMYGODOHMYGOD!!" my 3 yr old came into the bathroom like mommy are u ok? and my husbAND was asking me freeeking out are u ok what happened... i told him and my 3 yr old i was pregnant .... so ya this baby was not planned, I know the exact date this baby was concieved and we are due in november16!

A good doula is a nice place to start. And if your husband wants to be there for the birth and participate, I would recommend having someone there, an extended family member or a close family friend be in charge of the 3 year old and to help occupy them during labour and birth. And, should the worst happen and you need to transfer to a hospital, you need not worry about your 3 year old.
