Coffee - I'm glad the babe is ok and hope everything is just fine and this is just some fluke spotting.  Did you dtd with partner and maybe that got your cervix to bleed a little?

Banana - that is great that you spilled the beans.

I felt a lot of movement last night.  So exciting!!  I can't believe I'll be 18 weeks on Friday!  joy.gif

Cathy- I WISH I had something to pin the bleeding on, but there has been no DTD lately. It's really stressful to not know what caused it, if it's going to happen again, if it's going to harm the baby, etc. I am refraining from googling. Thankfully everything is fine at this moment in time, and I'm going I hope and pray that it continues. And hooray- I'll be 18 wks on Friday too!

I totally wing it.  I guess it probably ends up being about 50/50, maybe heavier on the raspberry if either.

Great news! And yes, relax!

Did they do any u/s today as well or just use the doppler?

Just doppler today, along with a pelvic exam (blah). My doctor rocks though, encouraging me to call or text his cell if I have any concerns or more bleeding. I feel well taken care of.

That's good. Has the bleeding stopped? Were any of your previous losses this late? No worries if you don't want to talk about it - I totally understand.

I also like a 50/50 RRL/nettle myself.

Mama- I've found that each pregnancy the twinges and cramping get more noticeable. And I seem to feel the BH earlier too. I have a friend who started to get a lot of cramping around baby #4. She said that cal/mag helped a lot.

Coffee, glad to hear you got reassuring news.

Thanks Banana and Mama505 for the elderberry and echinacea tips!  I will give them a try.  It's not much better today, but it was especially bad yesterday because the doctor had to irrigate out my ear wax to see what was going on and that really irritated it.

No problem. I don't mind. My losses have been between 6-8 weeks, always. Probably because of my husband's genetic reasons, embryos that are impacted don't make it very far. I've only made it this far with my DD's pregnancy.

My doctor said I might have some more bleeding, and that I'm not to panic if it happens. This morning I had some dark brown spotting, so hopefully it's tapering off.

That's encouraging I would imagine. Keep us updated and I hope everything calms down and doesn't happen again. Easy for the doctor to say not to panic, huh? lol

I slipped on ice and fell while walking to car this morning. I was really shook up and broke into tears. DH brought bactine, sensible shoes, calming support down to me. While running errands for work, I stumbled upon a maternity clothes sale! $ 30 for 4 pcs of biz casual maternity clothes. This cheers me up a bit. Glad to have dr appt today to reassure me after fall and find put if I have a uti.

So sorry Cardigan!  Ice is certainly not our friend right now.  :(  Glad you're feeling better though.  I got a box of maternity hand-me-downs from my big sister today and it was like Christmas!!  joy.gif

And then I picked up my huge livestock guardian dog today (long story) without even thinking.

And I am now lying in bed regretting it.  boo.

Coffee, I had a similar bleeding episode around 13 weeks. I had red bleeding briefly with small clots that tapered to brown for a few days before disappearing. Ultrasound showed no cause. My midwife said it was probably a small subchorionic hematoma that couldn't be detected and had resolved.

I haven't had anymore issues and I'm 16 weeks now. I hope that your issue resolves as quickly!

Here go the last pair of pre-pregnancy pants (that admittedly were saggy on me pre-pregnancy).  Unless my non-maternity tops are super long, they're all getting packed too. :)  Felt a few nice thumps this afternoon from baby so I'm feeling better about all that.  Just generally happy. :)

Got frustrating news for my second daughter - her allergy tests are back and in addition to the milk she already avoids (because it causes eczema), and all the artificials she avoids (because of behavioral issues), we add all nuts and peanuts to the list (she had an ana reaction to walnuts or almonds about a month and a half ago, so we had her tested and she came back positive on all of them). :( :(  I am sad that her limited diet gets more limited.  Luckily it doesn't change a TON, but it does make it harder to find substitute ice cream for her (many of the coconut milk varieties have nuts in them) and it means she'll have to move to sunbutter instead of peanut butter.  It also limits a few more "togo" snacks.  I'm finding it harder and harder to find packaged snacks she can have. I know they're not particularly good for her, but as a mama of lots of littles, I need quick, easy options sometimes!!  Anyway, sorry to vent about that!

Exciting on the farmhouse - I hope that works out!  That's like my ultimate dream too!!

Coffee, hugs on the spotting, that's just rough :(

Cardigan, I hate it when I fall while pregnant!! Always extra scary and painful!!

Wow, your doctor does rock, that is awesome that he's  so willing to let you call him on his cell.  So cool. thumb.gif

How much tea do you use and how long do you steep.  I need to drink more tea.

I'm trying to remember to take CALM twice a day, but lately only remembering once a day.  My legs have a twinge of cramping up on me in the am when I wake up.

Oh no.  What kind breed is he or she.  I can't wait to get another Anatolian.  Love them so much.

My endo is so baffled by my blood sugar status.  I'm taking less and less insulin.  I should be taking more at this point.  I'm just thinking my body is able to heal better since I am taking insulin and it doesn't have to work so hard.  This is so cool to have this happen during pregnancy.  I know everything is fine with baby, feeling lots of kicking lately and I feel awesome and I'm gaining weight.  My pajama bottoms are getting snug in the butt area.  lol

Oh man, that is tough when someone is sensitive to things.  Have you tried to see if she is gluten sensitive.  Often times when you are sensitive to dairy it is because of gluten.  The villi that break down dairy proteins are on the tips of the villi and when you have gluten issues it often wears away the villi enough that the tips where dairy is broken down are gone.  It might be worth looking at and she could possibly go back on dairy eventually if that is the case.  Hugs, that is hard my DS is also sensitive to additives and can be challenging when he sneaks them at a friends house.

It's about a teaspoon per cup water (though I make about a quart at a time)

I brew mine for 4 hours.

Is that just steeping time?  Like, do you heat it up and then let it sit for that long?  Sorry, new to this.  I have lots of silly questions.  Sheepish.gif
