Don't worry about it!

Yeah, I steep the herbs in the boiled water for 4hrs and then strain it (squeezing the liquid from the herbs too). I usually reheat it a cup at a time. It lasts me 2 days (which is why I make the quart), as in, I'll drink that days 2 cups when it's done and then two cups the next day. The brew is okay in the fridge for 24 hours.

I'm technically making an infusion, as opposed to a tea (which would be like 15m of steep time). It's supposed to be better because you get the full extraction of the beneficial ingredients of the herbs.

Thank you!  I would rather make a large batch too.  I've heard that it makes good iced tea that way too, I'm looking forward to that this summer...

I've been meaning to get back in RRL now that I'm in the second trimester - thanks for the reminder! ;)

I can't remember who suggested it on the previous page, but yeah, I'm still considering going GF with my DD.  Last time I went that route, it ended in a massive argument with my husband and so I haven't wanted to try it again...  But I know I need to at least give it a good 2 month trial and see what it does for her.

I brew mine for 4 hours.

So 4 tsps a quart and you do 50/50 on the nettle and raspberry leaf?

I was so thinking that AND you can put it in a popsicle mold and eat it frozen.  Great for diabetics.  lol  Since I don't usually drink juice its nice to have an alternative.  I'm also looking forward to sun tea.  Yum!!!!  I need to find some mint plants.

That's a bummer DH isn't on board.  Can you take her to a allergy specialist?  That seems to always convince a hubby.

I've taken her to an allergist which is where we got the full no nuts/no peanuts diagnosis. :(  I'll have to talk to her in June about GF, but I suspect I'll be trying it out before then...  DH is going to have to deal...
