i've used the windi! it works! our dude had some rough gassy times as my milk came in and his guts were going from meconium to milk poops and the windi was a lifesaver on a couple of occasions.

Tried the Windi tonight, seeking an "easy fix" to Olive's nighttime gassiness. Nothing. Just resulted in two frustrated parents and one seriously pissed-off baby. It felt like this HUGE thing for her tiny... yeah. Felt like we were setting her up for repressed childhood trauma work.

Back to baths, massage, and snuggling/nursing through it. Hoping that Olive forgives us.

Yeah we tried it too and it did nothing for our babe either.

Hahaha, poor little Olive goes her whole life trying to figure out why she has aversions to certain weather forecasts and peers named Wendy

Bummer! All of those Amazon reviews were sooo promising. Sorry it failed you, too.

Not to piss anyone off but I think the windi is way too invasive and similiar results from holding baby like this..  http://codenamemama.com/2012/02/13/easy-positions-elimination-communication-newborn/

I had some dairy which I had been avoiding and her poop changed and all of a sudden she is spitting up and fussy..I thought it might happen but I just needed to make sure I couldn't have it, now I know.  The food sensitivity doc I went to said that anything mom is sensitive to baby will be because the molecules can't get broken down by mom and she pushes them out of the body into milk which baby can't breakdown either leaving lots of tummy troubles...ugg

Ooh! Thank you, Anahata! I've been intending to start ECing and had a lot of questions for the newborn stage. That page cleared a lot up for me. (Now I just have to read DFB, which has been traveling around the apartment with me...) I'll try holding babe like that next time she has gas, too.

Sorry to hear you're struggling with food sensitivities! At least you've identified the culprit - that helps. Good luck!
