I've been only able to eat salads if I make homemade bleu cheese dressing.  So yummy!!

Cathy- Mmmmm, I just added "bleu cheese" to our grocery list... I'm so highly suggestible.

I just put a spoon of powder fiber into a drink three times a day for about three days post partum with my last child.  I had a pretty bad tear and did NOT like the idea of sitting down, let alone using the washroom.  The fiber certainly did the trick (and shocked my midwives when I said yes to the question on my three days post partum visit ;) )  You can also gorge yourself on hummus and pitas :)

I have been taking chia pudding (2TBSP chia seeds to 2C milk (I like almond) and maple syrup to taste and either 1TBSP cocoa or 1/2 tsp vanilla powder) So yummy and make the BM easier.  I'm not sure about after birth BM as this is my first, but I am used to 3-5 BM a day and while pregnant, it's been once a day.  :(  I also have used the Traditional Medicine Herbal Laxative teas.  They are VERY effective if you let it steep for 20 mins.  It does take 8 hours to work it's way through.
