and teles- that SUCKS. we were in grad school w/ my first, so my husband was gone all day at school, then had a nighttime job in the restaurant and it was really really hard. and if he ever wanted to 'go out' for the evening, i was not very understanding.... it was so hard b/c my first was very demanding and had to be in my arms all day. so when hubby came home to change for work, i'd hand him the baby, make myself something to eat (baby was opposed to me eating), and or grab a shower. and it seemed like we were never all together and rested and enjoying each other.....
DD is exactly the same and will protest if I try to put her down for any reason. I've tried to reason with her that if I don't eat, then she doesn't eat, but she doesn't seem to care for my logic.

I had a few nasty plugged ducts (but never mastitis) early on with DD1, and I started taking lecithin after that, and I never had another one. With DD2, I just started taking lecithin right off the bat until about 6 or 8 months, and I never had a single plugged duct or case of mastitis in two years of nursing her. I plan on doing the same with this one.
I'm definitely going to be looking into lecithin. I will do just about anything to avoid having to suffer through mastitis again.
