My midwife called this morning and cancelled our appointment this week. She has a cold and said she wants to rest up so whe will be well when I go into labor.

I've had a sinus infection for a week and just got some meds Saturday, so hopefully this will clear up soon. I can't breath through my nose and haven't been sleeping much due to that. I cannot go into labor with this crud!

AND this weekend I have 2 newborn photoshoots. So I'm hoping I will be pregnant for at least another week. I'll be 38 weeks on Thursday.

Anyone else NOT ready for baby to come?

Me!  I am 39w3d-- actually 40w by LMP.  I am a FTM, though, so hopeful I will go closer to 41 weeks. 

What I "need," as I'm sure I've mentioned, is to make it about 3 days and ~6.5 more hours, because ON THURSDAY, 3 (arguably 4) things happen: 

-At 9 am, we have our last group prenatal with our MWs' other March moms and partners.  This is awesome, because December or January moms will be coming and talking about their births and babies!

-This appointment is also important because of DH's new job and insurance, which took effect Feb 1.  To most easily get our reimbursement for the whole pregnancy/birth fee, we need to have had at least 4 prenatal appointments between the insurance start date and the birth.  We have had 3 since Feb 1, so the Thursday one will be number 4.  Otherwise, they'll have to bill our old insurance for prenatals and our new one for the birth, and it's a whole mishugas. 

-DH has his mandatory immigration thing at 3 pm.  Just a formality, shouldn't take too long (like <1 hour), but I don't want to be in labor when it's happening!

-Dr. Mom arrives by plane at 5 pm. 

So-- wait, Buko!  After that, I'm really feeling the green light, though I'm prepared to wait another couple more weeks on top of it.  In fact, I'd like another week if possible, because I'm a weirdo.

I just posted something similar on another thread - but yes!  So not ready for baby to be here.

DH is in the first few weeks of baseball season and it always takes about a month for us to get caught up on housecleaning (when I'm not 9 months pregnant!) I asked him if he could help me out this week to get the house in tip-top shape for baby and he (bluntly and honestly) said "no, not this week." 

So... I have my 39 week appointment on Thursday and I'm taking the rest of the day off to try to get caught up on housecleaning and to get the car seat and co-sleeper installed. 

I'm a home-ec teacher and I have our last cooking lab scheduled for this week, a guest speaker coming Wednesday and a BIG test and a BIG project the end of this week that I need to grade.  

My MIL is going to try to come next weekend (just after I turn 40 weeks) and my mother is flying in from Alaska the day of 41 weeks. 

I'm almost *done* being pregnant and I'm excited for baby to get here, but I would really like to make it to 40 weeks! DS came at 41, so I don't forsee this being an issue.

I just had a home visit yesterday with my midwife and she told me baby is low in the pelvis. A little bit of head wiggle but not much and I definitely have no more rib pain so this baby is getting ready to come. I'm 36 weeks yesterday so I REALLY need this baby to stay in for at least 1 more week. As per our regulations I won't be cleared for my homebirth until I'm 37 weeks although if it's a few days before I think I'll just refuse to leave the house :)

I'll be sending you all STAY IN BABY vibes!! Send me some too

I'm only 37 weeks and a FTM, so I'm hoping to go 41 weeks or so.  My parents fly in 39+4 and I'm hoping that that's not too late, since I expect my RN mom to be present and helpful for my homebirth.

Well, I must admit that I AM ready for baby to be here, but only if he comes this week. I am 37+5 today. Next week is SOOOO busy: my DS1 has theater rehearsals every day after school and will need help managing homework, dinner, chores, and rehearsals until bedtime each night, then he has four performances over the weekend which I want to go to of course. He has a lead role and we are so excited for him. SO I hope baby gets here by the 28th or stays put until the 11th. I am due the 13th so it isn't farfetched at all to hope he stays put. But i do have to deal my intense desire to be finished brewing this baby.

LDoulaSteph, you never know - my baby dropped way down at 36 weeks and has been super low since (I'm now 37+2), and still hasn't made her appearance. Good luck! I have to admit, I'm on the opposite side of the fence... absolutely ready for this baby to come. We have everything ready for her (because I've had complications all through that made us want to prepare for an early birth just in case!) and my body has been sending me so many "labor is not too far" signals for the last week or so that I'm ready to have it just done and over with and have that sweet little one in my arms!

It's been such a major intuition that this baby is going to come early so I'm really hoping to be wrong. DD came right on her EDD so I hope this baby follows suit and sticks a little closer to it's EDD or later ;)

I'm staying super low key and all is ready for the home birth. Haven't packed a "just in case" hospital bag yet, denial perhaps LOL. Those "labour is not too far" signals are so strong this time around!! I'll be watching for your name in the "I'M IN LABOR" thread

I hope everyone gets their major stuff done this week before babies start popping out. My ODS is a Marchie too and I really want another March baby. I don't know why. ODS came on his due date so I think I might go a little early this time, which is fine - I just need one more week... I've felt some BH here and there, but not often and no other signs of labor.

My due date is March 29th, and I'm really hoping it'll stay put until early April. At that point, both my mom will be here and a friend of mine who is hoping to be our extra help along with the midwives (our friend has done some doula training in the past, and is currently in nursing school). I'm also getting anxious to have everything ready to go within a few weeks, so if the baby waits longer I can just enjoy the wait.  And of course, baby needs to cook a few weeks longer at least, so baby, stay in there!

Ehh, i go back and forth between wanting to give birth today lol and wanting him to wait until his due date or later. DD came out at 41 weeks exactly and she was big and healthy--she latched on with no problems, slept well, no issues whatsoever. I attribute all of that to how long she stayed snuggled inside me. So while i'd LOVE to meet him i realistically prefer him to stay until the 3rd or 4th week of march (due date is the 19th or 20th, depending on how you calculate it). This doesnt matter that much but i also would love to have an aries--i already have a pisces and DH and i are both fire signs so i know he'd enjoy us. Thats a superficial reason, though, so its not that important.

My official due date is Thurs/Fri and my own, based on my chart, is the following week and I'd very much like to be right!
I am beginning to feel ready or at least accepting baby is coming very soon, but I'd prefer to be a little bored while letting baby cook a while longer. A friend who was due just after me (8th March) just gave birth today to a tiny 5lb 13 girl. All is well but it drove home how we both need a little more time yet.

Yes, sometimes it's ok to let them cook longer and fatten up!

My DD was 5lb 14oz at exactly 40 weeks 

She was a little stinker but perfectly healthy at that little size.
