IS this wrong? and how to tell him

Recently I have been seeing my Ex's old best friend. They parted ways a few years ago because my ex was into heavy drugs and drinking. He has a child of his own and he has custody of her. He is amazing to myself and my daughter and I have not felt this great in a relationship. Ever. I need to tell her father I just don't know how to... help.

Why do you need to tell him? How long have you been dating this new guy. Its really none of his business.
