Mattress size question

Hi all. I'm just about 30 weeks and have been researching healthy mattresses. So the question is can I use a 28" mattress in a crib that suggests 27.5"? Could the .5" make that much difference??

i don't know but maybe call around or go where they sell mattresses and try to fit the size you like in the crib. good luck!
