Hello all! I'm Michelle.  I'm 31 and brand new to this whole ddc stuff.  Last year was extremely rough in this department and I have decided that having other people to talk to this time around will be beneficial.  We lost a baby at 36 weeks (April) and at 6 weeks (Nov) last year, so I am nervous this time around, but feel more confident this time around (if that makes any sense)...I just feel like this one is going to be ok smile.gif    I have an 11 year old son, and my bf has a 6 yr old daughter and a 4 yr old son.  I got my BFP at about 10dpo, and am due Nov 27th, so maybe a Thanksgiving baby which sounds pretty symbolic to me.  So far I've experienced fatigue, sore bbs, a lot of pinching and pulling in there, heightened sense of smell, occasionally nausea and a big increase in hunger.

Looking forward to spending the next 8 months with ya'll!  Happy Sticky Baby Dust to you all!!

Im so sorry for your losses, we too lost our dd (nicu baby) and since then have had mc's. I am trying to stay positive and take one day at a time. Its great that you feel confident!

I'm so sorry to hear of your losses as well, I know it isn't an easy thing to deal with and it really is terrifying having a pregnancy after loss.  I really think I am just forcing myself to be confident...I feel like stress was probably the biggest issue in both losses we had and I am determined to not stress out this time around...fx for both of us for healthy, happy babies stillheart.gif

Hi I'm H, 37 yo mom to 4 and had a miscarriage at 16 weeks in 2011 I do t know if I feel pregnant and kind of tested on a whim because I had a test lying around. SURPRISE!!!! I'm freaking out because we were NOT planning. Actually we are planning our wedding! I have not told him yet as I know he will not be excited. We have 4 and lost one and are finally getting on our feet. I'm hoping that everything goes as smoothly as possible and am excited to meet all of you. I can't wait to get to that super excited and more relaxed point. I'm a runner, love yoga, and am in week 5 of P90X. Funny that as I was doing p90x I felt like I wasn't getting any results... Can I blame it on this little bean? Lol

My name is Janae and I'm due with our third on November 5th. We weren't trying because I was absolutely convinced that I could not get pregnant. My luteal phase is totally messed up, maxing out at 9 days with spotting for the last 3 of those 9 days. When I hadn't started my period halfway through 10 dpo I knew something was up. Needless to say I was shocked, but super excited. I was ready for our next baby, and early November is awesome, but I was literally shocked to get the bfp. I have a 20mo and a 4yo. I'm still breastfeeding my 20mo and breastfed the 4yo until he was about 3.5 (I'm still surprised that he stopped before high school, lol). Nice to meet you all!

Hi All,

My name is Anka and I'm expecting 11/7 or thereabouts.  DH and I have been trying for about a year, but with a long stretch of lactational amenorrhea it's just now it actually happened.  So we're really excited!  However, there's a lot going on just now -- we're moving halfway across the country on Sunday, I'm starting a new job the next week... so it's a lot all at once.  And I don't qualify for FMLA so not sure how things are going to work on that front.

All happy stress, but stress nonetheless, so I'm happy to have a supportive group of women.  I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better over the next several months!

Best,

Anka

Hi gals! I just got my BFP this week and so excited that I'm having a hard time sleeping! My DS will be 2 at the end if April. We had a fabulous birth center experience last time around, but we live over an hour away now. We have quite the comfy master suite in our new home so I'm toying with the idea of a home birth this time around.

Estimated due date is 11/29 but I'm betting on early December if this bean is anything like DS.

Hello ladies!!

I'm Corrina, five weeks along with number three, due November 23rd, although the first two were two weeks early.  :)  We have a fabulous almost eight year old daughter and we lost a son two almost two years ago at 25 days old.  We are SO excited about this wonderful surprise!  I'm 36 so I'm feeling a little more nervous that with the previous two.  I had some spotting yesterday (which I never experienced before) but I'm feeling more confident today.  Looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

I'm so happy I thought to check on Mothering! It's been a long time since I've logged in on the site, but this is as good a reason as any to come back. thumb.gif

My name is Saara. I'm 36 & thought the baby days were long behind me, since my other kids are 15 & nearly 13. Bit of an age gap there. lol This will be my husband's first, though & we're really excited, now that it's sinking in!!

I'm due Nov. 26th, though I went 10 days over the EDD with both of my boys, so I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being a Dec. baby instead.

Can I just say - I can't believe how expensive things like car seats & slings have gotten since the last time I did this?! I gave away everything else, but I know I still have all of the cloth diapers & baby carriers lying around somewhere...

Yay congrats and welcome back! The expense of those things is hitting us too! Thank goodness for baby registries and baby showers!

Yes - I think I may actually get a baby shower this time around, and the registry may not be a bad way to go, either. They were kind of frowned upon back then, but I think they've become more accepted now - thank goodness!

Welcome to all the new Mamas!!

wave.gifWriteonyogamama!! So excited to see you over here in the DDC biggrinbounce.gif Congrats again.

Saara and Corrina I'm 36 as well with a 9 yo DD. We have a number of November mamas in their late 30's and early 40's and a few with larger age spans between kiddos. It's SO exciting!! And I am also fully embracing the idea of a baby shower, even though this is #2. I have almost nothing left, sold or gave away nearly everything, including my awesome stash of cloth diapers. Nearly everyone I work with has a registry with their new little ones. Not a bad idea at all!!

I think the registries make it easier too for people who are buying for you. They don't have to buy you something that they might be worried wont work for you. I'm sure my MIL will have something to say about it but idc smile.gif

Hi! Im Marie, age 26 expecting my 4th around Nov 23rd. So far I have all boys! This will be my third homebirth and I'm hoping to have many wonderful friends and family there again this time. My boys are 6, 4 and 2 so this will be my largest age gap at 2 1/2 years and I am LOVING it already! Its my first summer-ish pregnancy and I'm in the middle of getting into farming/animals so it will be an interesting one!

Hi, I'm Emma. This is #3 for us. I'm guessing I'm due late November, and will probably go into December.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hey Ladies!

Welcome (:

We did the birth bead exchange in my last DDC. I did it and it was fun. We should have a thread where every one puts their DDC ideas. I love the ideas people come up with for DDC keepsakes!

I'm Lacey, 29 and married to D for almost 10 years.  We have a 4 and 5 year old and have been trying for this baby for about 12 months (took Vitex and w/in weeks was pregnant!)  I homeschool the kiddos and plan to school thru the summer (about 3x a week) and take a break when baby comes.  The hubbs says he may pick it up after baby is born and do school in the evening with the kids...we'll see.  They're still so young, I'm not too worried.

I'm looking forward to enjoying this summer and being relatively care free :D

Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and to mothering.com - when I was looking up home birth midwives in my area, I kept seeing results from these forums and decided to join :)

My name is Mana, and my husband and I have an almost 21 month old daughter and I'm due with our second 11/17/13. I'm looking forward to poking around here and getting to know this community better :)
