I'd love to connect with the other folks who are working out - running, yoga, weights, walking, whatnot - and weigh over 200lbs. I am 5'8, currently 217lbs. I have been around this weight - above and below - for my entire adult life. I would like to get to a place where I am under 200 and stay there - just because I worry about the extra weight being harder on my knees and such. I am very active and looking for other folks!

I'm close, I'm 5'9 and 195-ish. And I've been around this weight my whole adult life (I'm 32 now) I've always walked a lot but took up running about a year ago. I've haven't had any trouble with my knees, but sometimes my hips ache after runs. It helps if I walk a minute or two for each mile. I also started using the treadmill and ellipticals at the gym this winter. I'm looking forward to running outside again when it warms up a little.

I will be shortly. I was 233 when I got pregnant and I've gained about 30 lbs. I always lose pretty quick at first but I'm looking forward to losing more. I was recently diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis so I'm going to be doing yoga and walking primarily (as well as a primal diet to discourage inflammation).
