How much do NYC homeburth midwives charge out of pocket?

What is the going rate with no insurance..in NYC area

$7500. We paid a $500 deposit and got an exemption from our insurance co, so they covered the rest. My midwife also takes Medicaid

Same here, $7500 for the all package (prenatal care, birth and postnatal care)

That's the exact price that I am hearing also. I mentioned it to someone and they thought it was high so i wanted to hear what others were quoted/pd. Were they able to do sliding scales?
