How is everyone feeling?

I am 4 weeks 3 days today, and I have off and on mild symptoms so far. Sometimes slight nausea and lack of appetite..and then I will suddenly be starving. I have major bloat going on in the evenings. Every once in awhile I have breast tenderness, but nothing to extreme. I am also waking up around 3am to go to the bathroom, and then I can't fall back asleep for the life of me!! There are also times when I feel completely normal, and not pregnant at all, and I hate those times. Having had a miscarriage before this one has really made me more anxious about symptoms or lack of at times.

I'm sorry to hear about the previous miscarriage, and I do understand lack of symptoms being nerve wracking!

I am just queasy. And tired. and lazy.

I am nursing my 9 month old and she is teething so that is challenging in itself.

Really though, just majorly queasy and tired. I have a mountain of dishes to do but..."I don't wanna!" shy.gif

To tell you the truth though, I don't even want to knit or sew..I am majorly in the first trimester funk already!

Lack of symptoms would bother me too. My boobs are less sore in the mornings, and when I first noticed that I freaked out.

Other than some major breast tenderness I've also had off-and-on backache and some very mild indigestion/nausea. The worst thing is that I think I'm already experiencing altered tastes! Last night I ruined the pasta sauce. I was making a spicy sauce and no matter how much crushed red pepper I added it still tasted sweet. DH told me it was so spicy he could barely eat it. shrug.gif

Onemoreontheway, I've been lazy with knitting too! I've got wool for socks for me and a blanket for baby, but have been too busy looking up pregnancy info...

Woke up this morning feeling very pregnant..with that yucky feeling/taste. I try not to drink much caffeine, but I still have an occasional cup of coffee here and there..well this morning it didn't taste good at all!!  I also fell asleep at 7:30 last night..I can't tell you how many shows and movies I have started while I have been pregnant that I have only seen a part of. Someday I will have time to watch them in full..lol.

Tired!! I also fell asleep at 7:30 last night smile.gif I have sore breasts and feel super bloated. Been queasy off and on too, seems better today though I know it will start in earnest again by 5 weeks (or at least that's what I remember from last time).

I'm just overwhelmed with feelings of joy and excitement joy.gif

Kikaaaso I totally feel your pain! I am so nervous about my lack of symptoms. With my loss I had tons of symptoms! Morning sickness, fatigue, frequent urination, cramping. So far I have nothing! And I am stressing about it! The only thing I do have is tender breasts, and the rare twingy cramp. But no frequent urination, nausea, or even fatigue (I have the opposite, I am completely wide awake all night!). Anyways, hopefully they will come on soon! Or if this is a chemical pregnancy for me hopefully it will pass soon because I hate this unknowing!

ETA: I'm somewhere between 5-5.5 weeks

We are so early, so not feeling much is totally normal at this point. I usually start feeling things stronger between 5 1/2 -6 weeks. So about a week to go and hopefully, I will be complaining of symptoms instead of not having enough!! I hope the same for you (((hugs))).

Superbeans - I've been awake the last few nights too!  The worst, but I also seem to have fatigue during the day.

I knew I was pregnant from my chart, but the lack of proof was killing me and I finally went and bought a test this morning.  Pregnant!  No surprises there.

I've been feeling pretty great physically, but I'm a total mess mentally, much more than I was expecting.  I had a rough time with hyperemesis in my last pregnancy, and I'm so scared of getting it again.  I also didn't have a doctor until yesterday, and I'm having some trouble getting in to see someone before I'm 8 weeks.  Last time I was already admitted to the hospital at 8 weeks, and I'm really, really hoping to avoid that this time because I want to be at home to take care of my three year old.  There aren't a lot of doctors here and I feel like I don't have any options.  Ugh.  That's what was keeping me up last night.

Hope everyone keeps on feeling well!

(((Hugs))) Sofia. I can totally understand not wanting to go through that again, especially with a 3 year old. Praying you have just enough symptoms to keep you from worrying, but not enough to feel that bad again. I don't know enough about hyperemesis..is it more likely you will get it again, or is still possible that you can have a pregnancy without it?

Oh and with sleep..I have been waking up around 3 am each morning..which is probably why I am falling asleep so much earlier!!

Seems like I just read about an herb for hyperemesis. Nettle, alfalfa? I'll try to find it again.

I am feeling occasional need to eat but have no interest kind of stuff. But I can't believe how tired and lazy I feel. I have a pile of dishes to wash, but don't want to. Am I really more tired than I was 2-3 days ago b4 I knew I was pregnant? Or is knowing I'm pregnant  a good excuse to be lazy? Idk. We have not gotten a lot of schoolwork done this week (we homeschool). I need to stop cruising the pregnancy boards and get on with life like usual...

Is cramps and tight stomach normal for the first couple weeks ? My stomach is really achy since yesterday and it seems to be worse if I move around. I'm a bit nervous and wonder should I call a doctor?

I hope you are ok landensmommy, maybe call a doctor if it'll help put your mind at rest. Having said that, I had lots and lots of cramping (quite strong) with my ds from 4 to 7 weeks, a scan at 7 weeks showed he was fine. Take care x

Some cramping is normal, I think especially with subsequent pregnancies. But if it's really painful or making you anxious I would call your care provider and discuss it with them.

yeahthat.gif Agreed, some cramping is totally normal and expected. I had some pretty uncomfortable cramping from ~7-14 DPO (so from 3-4 weeks). I understand it is common throughout much of the first few weeks. I would definitely call if you're worried though. That's what your provider is there for! smile.gif

I'm 4 weeks 2 days, and definitely exhausted. I've not experienced any aversions to foods yet, thank goodness. My boobs feel as if they're inflating like hot air balloons, and they're usually moderately sore.

landensmommy, I've been having mild cramps as well. I'm not too worried about it, from what I've been hearing from my mommy friends (this is my first pregnancy) but if they get any worse I may call my doc, just to put my mind at ease. I agree with SparkleMaman, that's what your provider is for, don't be afraid to take advantage of their expertise!

I had that cramping for about 4-5 days right around the time AF was due, and it was pretty intense on one of the days, but it just stopped and I just feel a little bloated now.  I think it's related to implantation.  Everything's settled in there now.

I have had 2 losses also (one didn't get as far as I am now) and the other was at 11 weeks, and I had symptoms with that one that did stop around 9 weeks when I started spotting.  So far this feels like my 1st PG w/DS.  A few symptoms, mostly breast tenderness, can't sleep well yet exhausted, random starving/queasy feelings.  I'm 5 weeks today only though.

The problem is I don't have a doctor just called a place and going Wednesday for my first appt ever. I just moved to the area and got pregnant a lot faster then I thought possible. Do you think they would still help me?

For the rest of the day I rested and I'm feeling much better. Thanks everyone I was extremely worried!!!
