I'm a mom of a wonderful 5 yr old son. We live in Alaska. My husband and I both work full time. We get caring support for our son from my folks who live nearby and from our amazing, small in-home daycare provider ( her family is like a 2nd family for our son). He's likely to be an only child since we've had several miscarriages in the last year. I've been enjoying the posts and was hoping to get advice from you all about kindergarten selection. Also, if anyone has experience dealing with highly opinionated extended family and conflicts on parenting styles, I'm all ears. Nice to be here. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you.

Hello AK mom and welcome! I am also new to the site and am learning to navigate my way around.  As far as opinionated family goes, I have a few myself :)  I wish you much luck with finding a kindergarten too!
