Needle Gender Test Fun! Post your results

For fun we should do the needle gender test and list our results and see if it was right. My aunt has done it over a dozen times and has never been wrong. I did it twice for my friend and it was right! Mine was right last pregnancy too.

Needle Gender Test Rules

1. You have to be at least 16 weeks along.

2. Someone else has to do it for you.

3. Thread a sewing needle with thread that is about 6 inches long.

4. Have someone dangle the needle above your belly.

Needle swinging in a CIRCLE means GIRL
or BACK and FORTH means BOY.

Post your Needle Gender Test results and then repost once you find out the gender through ultrasound or birth!

some say that the needle with go one way and then another way if it's a boy and girl. It would be interesting to see what you find when you do it.

Ooh this sounds fun! I'm definitely feeling boy vibes so I'd be very curious to see what it says for me!

Well I have a few more weeks before I can do this version, but my friend did something similar for me and DH maybe 2 months ago.  She used a needle stuck to a pencil, but for her she said you can do it regardless if you're pregnant or not, and it shows ALL the kids you'd have, and in which order.  For both me and DH we got girl, girl, boy.  We'll see!  Maybe I'll do this version too in a few weeks.

I did the needle test for fun even though I'm only 14 weeks and it said girl! I'll try next week to and then of course on the 16th to see if it says the same thing. 😊

I'll be 16 week tomorrow and the needle gender test says girl!!! I hope to have an ultrasound April 6th to confirm or deny!! So exciting!

Has anyone else done the test yet? Soon?

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow too! And already had an ultrasound saying *most likeky* girl. I'll probably make my husband help me do the test tomorrow

I'm 17 weeks today so last night dh and I did the needle test and got girl. I have been feeling girl this whole time so it would be pretty cool if it was right! And of course if baby is a boy that will be pretty cool too.

Any mama's with twins try this yet?

i just did it...i'll be 16 weeks tomorrow.

i got girl :)

i finally got around to the needle test today. i'm 18.5 weeks. i can feel the babies in two distinct places (kicking / squirming). so my DW held the needle over one side and it said girl. then she held it over the other side and it said boy.

our "big" ultrasound is tomorrow, but we know we're having at least 1 boy from the maternit21 test. i'll report back with more data.

The past few weeks before our ultrasound the needle was swinging back and forth but I didn't want to believe it! Lol I really wanted another girl. When I did the test earlier than 16 weeks I was getting girl. That's why doing it too early can have false results. Ultrasound said boy so it was right!

amanda bee - will be fun to see if the needle test is right, when is your u/s? Will you be finding out or waiting??

swissmiss - cool that it worked for you! Congrats on your boy!!

mrsandmrs - I was anxiously awaiting your u/s to see if your needle test matched! Guess it's just a fun thing to do while waiting to know and maybe it only works for singletons...? Congrats on the twin boys, how fun!!

mamamash - did you ever end up doing the needle test? Are you having another u/s to confirm the earlier one that said girl? This is so fun:)

Has anyone else done the needle test and confirmed/denied results via u/s?
