Went back and looked through the gender neutral clothes. We seemed to be set except for baby girl/ gender neutral summer/spring outfits so I went to the consignment shop today and got 5. It was fun being able to pick out what I wanted with the help of my daughers.  I do have a small load of things in the wash that I'm hoping to get stains out of but we will either be fine with out it or she can wear it around the house.

On the other hand, some birth supplies I wasn't expecting to need should be here within the next few days and then we'll be ready....just in time for my midwife to leave town. Hopefully we'll spend those five -six days cleaning the house!

Feeling crampy, some bloody discharge, and pain. Had 2 painful contractions earlier and STILL have immense pressure. So feel like crap!

Wowza! Sounds like your body is ramping up for some work. Hope you can get some rest in.

I signed DS up for baseball on Sunday. He's so excited! I saw one of the girls that I used to work with, and who is pretty good friends with my ex (who I had a lot of trouble with awhile back.) and she was asking me all kinds of stuff about the baby, and that made me kind of nervous, because while it's not like she had no business in the area (she lives in another small town, and her son goes to same school as DD and DS, and he plays ball, but all the little towns around come here to play ball.), I'm worried ex has her trying to figure out where we live, and keep an eye on me, and find out about the baby. Then earlier, I was at the movie store, and a guy came in that looked *exactly* like him, and even though I realized after a short while it wasn't him, I was already having a panic attack. So I've been backing the car down the driveway, and parking either back by the garage, or in the garage, because I'm scared again. I'm scared to go back to the laundry, because we don't have curtains up in there yet, and I'm afraid to go around again. I hate this. I thought I was doing better, but then all this happens, and I realize I'm not doing well at all.

JennJenn: Sounds like you will have the baby within three days or so. That's what's always happened with me (well once, one was out of no where , and the other was just light contractions FOREVER).

BMCNeal: I sort of understand where you are coming from. I have only had panic attacks in pregnancy but my belief is that it is because I'm more sensitive during that time. I"ve started to realize the attacks were coming from problems I have with my DH and not trusting him (honestly for fairly good reasons) and fear of my IL's being able to come back in our lives and emotionally abuse me.  It's been a real fear for me that DH will leave me for his parents and when ever something triggers during pregnancy an attack occurs. It's not something I can help.  the other night out of the blue he told me he thought we were better off since we kicked them out of our lives and suddenly I'm calm.   So anyway, I hope it gets better. I know my story doesn't sound nearly as bad as yours but like I said, I guess I just get really sensitive when I'm pregnant.  Oh and there was a history of child abuse before marrying my husband and I still will not be alone with or allow my children to be alone with my father.  He knows where I live and sometimes that makes me nervous too.

Wow JennJenn how exciting.

Sorry that you are going thru that Bmcneal. I hope you find rest and peace of mind soon.

To those that are cramping: I started to get a backache and general period like crampy feeling last night. It is my understanding that this is normal and can continue for hours/days/weeks ? Its just the body preparing itself. And not early labor signs?!

Tiff4NY, thank you. I actually hope its not labor, as that would mean an emergency csection for me, and that's scary. I can deal with the scheduled one (my scheduled one is set for April 2nd in the morning.) But a spur of the moment? It freaks me out for some reason. Then again, I am at that point now where I realize my daughter will be here in a couple weeks! smile.gif

BMcNeal, oh honey that is terrible! I hope nothing bad happens! I don't know your situation, but I have an ex as well (the babys bio father actually, whome I haven't spoken with since just before thanksgiving.) That I am terrified of. That feeling of being scared is not fun. I will be thinking good thoughts and prayers for you!

Camprunner, I had BH's 2x yesterday just waiting for my OB to come into the room. Then last night I had 2 contractions in a row (about 45 seconds long) that I KNOW were not BH. I never had this much going on when DD was born in '06.

Munchkin, from what my DR told me yesterday when I told her of the same thing, it sounds like your body is prepping itsself, not early labor nessicarily.

I just had an appt yesterday where I explained that this has been happening to me as well. OB said it's definitely preparing for labor but he wasn't concerned at all. And when he checked me I was softening and opening a little so that's more progress than I ever had with DD1!

I am so frustrated!

Today was moving day. Upon moving into our new TH we found out that the people who live next door are (presumably) chain smokers because the place reeks! I feel cheated. And I feel like we can't stay here long term like we imagined.

FOUL mood. (And headache).

Oh that really stinks, in more ways than one. are you buying or renting? Hopefully they're not smoking outside too so you can open up some windows. We have a townhome too and only have windows facing the front of our unit, so whenever a neighbor is smoking outside, we have to shut all our windows. Or if I or any other neighbor have their dryer running.  If it's definitely coming through the walls or ducts, maybe look into if you can file a complaint through the townhome's association?.

I have been having this for exactly a week now. I was more concerned around mid week when it hadn't stopped but now I feel like this for most of the day. I have started to efface and am dilated and have a good 4 hours of false labor everyday but baby seems comfortable where she is for now. I haven't had any increase in discharge or any mucus plug stuff coming out so I figure I got a few more weeks left.

Eeee, my bff had her baby Thursday night! He is so cute (of course!). Makes it so much more real that mine is coming soon. I am starting to feel like I have forgotten all of the newborn and PP stuff! I really hope it all just kicks in after labor!

I've gained 10 lbs. in 3 weeks *goes and cries in a corner*

Other than an hour of bh here and an hour there when sitting, I have no signs of impending labor at all BUT my second child came out of no where so we shall see. Hopefully we shall see her come around her due date.

Add me to the crampy every night club.  Last night they were timeable so I was watching them for fun.  Today I've just been feeling kinda blah, and the top of my belly is still SOOOOO sore where baby's bum is so I've been wrapping my belly in my gauze wrap (instead of using my support belt...that's so uncomfortable!) to ease the burning/stinging ache and it's helped a bit.  Baby also flipped from ROA to LOA a couple times today.

And interestingly enough, from just mid-morning to tonight, I have dilated another cm (putting me ~3cm) and I can totally feel baby's hair through the membranes.  Apparently I've never mentioned to DH being able to do that with my previous kids because when I told him he was like, "EEW!  That is GROSS"  ROTFLMAO.gif For a medical guy, this stuff that is so close to home really gets to him!  Hehe...  But this is one of those things that just fascinates me...it's such an incredible process and being able to be a part of it in this way just reinforces my amazement at God's design.

Been losing plug regularly too (never any show with it, though...I've never had much of any blood until labor).  Too bad all this means diddly squat for me. LOL  But it's still fun and despite the general consensus I think it helps pass the time to know what my body is doing every step of the way!

Hey don't feel bad...I've gained almost that much in the last 3 weeks too, and I was already up a lot.  I'm thinking there's no way I'll stay under 50lbs this time, unless baby amazingly decided to come before 40+ weeks and by some miracle I can slow my gain rate.

I've always gained 10ish lbs in the last 4-5 weeks with my previous pregnancies (not sure why, I don't swell up or noticeably retain any more water than usual and I don't suddenly LOOK 10lbs heavier at that point either), so I'm in biiiiig trouble if that happens this time, too!

My midwife was shocked I gained any weight(or she's just being nice..). It was a total mood ruiner, lol.

On the positive side she predicts baby will be here at 38w 3d, she told me she's only off by a day or two most of the time, we shall see!
