I have maybe 4 of the gowns- I can't wait to use them. Do you recommend the sleep wedge thing? I've heard different things about if they are safe/necessary. Do you swaddle your NB for sleep? Or only if they're super fussy?

Baby sleeps with us so usually only in a diaper or maybe a onesie. I have a couple gowns we use occasionally too but I don't like how they bunch up so I don't use them as often.

That is AWESOME news!! Congratulations!!

We have an arms reach as well but I'd be lying if I said baby was ever actually going to sleep in it lol. No, he'll sleep with us too. I can't fall sleep if baby isn't right there with me - it'd be like missing an arm or something! I'm also a fan of the gowns with elastic bottoms but I wont change baby out of a sleeper just to put them in a gown. We don't do "out fits" unless we're making an appearance somewhere so baby will spend most of his time in jammies anyway.

Rather then a wedge, I've rolled up a a receiving blanket and put that under another blanket under to prop the baby up on occasion. A few years ago a bunch of sleep positioners were recalled but I can't remember why exactly.

It's a beautiful day here too - uncharacteristically sunny and spring like (usually it down pours on Easter!) and I agree it would be a lovely day to birth a baby ;) It's not feeling like it's going to be today for me though!

Yes, what a gorgeous day! I really thought I was going into labor both last night and the night before. So many contractions! But it was just more prodromal labor! Baby always likes it when I put on music by Johann Sebastian Bach and today's Bach's birthday! That would be perfect. I am so ready to be done at this point. I did have a HUGE melt down last night. All hormonal, cried for an hour for no real reason. Made DP scrub all the floors and clean out the fridge and then yelled at him for not doing it right blush.gif. Luckily he's very very sweet and didn't take it personally. He told me to sit down (I was redoing his work) and made me a cup of nettle tea.  I think it will be soon!

Happy Easter!

I use a baby hammock, so I don't have experience with the sleep-wedge-thingies! I bet it would be helpful if baby had any reflux problems, though...

I've tried swaddling both of my other kids, and they just never liked it much lol. I've seen it work really really well for some kids (I worked in a daycare where almost ALL of the babies loved it!), but mine don't like being restrained I guess, haha. Still, every kiddo is different so I'll probably try it this time again, just to see!

I think the wedge thing is to keep them from rolling over or something. There's a wedge on either side and flat fabric in the middle. Guess I'll just have to see what he needs/how he reacts to swaddling!

I looooove gowns lol. They are definitely my go-to for night time. We have a bassinet for baby, DH is insistent baby isn't going to get used to sleeping with us like Autumn and Sylas are, we will see how long that lasts orngtongue.gif.

This is important at night when I am tired and I don't want the baby to wake up too much. If it's chilly, I put a onesie under it. Right now I have 2 for a boy and 2 for a girl, but once we have the baby, I will be getting a few more.

Happy Easter!

yeahthat.gif That's why I love the gowns too.

Congrats BeanBean! And I had a lot of pressure in church too. At one point when we were standing baby felt like she was trying to just push her way out without really any contractions and it felt like all the strength went out of my legs and I was gripping the chair in front of me to help hold me up!! It feels like today is going to have a lot of prodromal labor.

Lastnite I rolled from side to side a lot in bed and about 3 times in a row my pubic bone went POP!! and it hurt soooo bad. Finally around 5 I got up to pee and decided to try to sleep in the recliner. After a while I had to cancel that idea because the weight of the baby on my pelvis was giving me contractions so I tried laying on the couch. After about 20 minutes of that our rooster started walking laps around the house crowing he stupid head off. It worked out ok though because neither DH or I had set an alarm since DD usually wakes up at a consistent time, but for some reason today she was still sleeping 20 minutes before we needed to leave for church...good thing someone got us up!

If you celebrate, how was/is your Easter? Anyone feeling birthy wink1.gif?

We went to an egg hunt at the mall yesterday, and it was absolutely awful. Instead of having the kids grab eggs, parents were grabbing up as many eggs as they could and putting them in their kids Easter baskets. One guy would swoop down while toddlers were trying to bend over to grab eggs and take them for his kids. Ugh! I definitely think parents should have to stand back while the kids grab the eggs, it's not fair! We dyed eggs yesterday, I was lazy and bought a dye kit lol, didn't realize you need vinegar, so we have very pastel eggs, at least the kids had fun! Today has been good, my 4 y/o woke up excited because the bunny left footprints smile.gif, we've been vegging out on candy and watching movies so far.

Soooo much pressure today. A lot of cramping & a lot of feelings in my cervix. Walking hurts. Baby definitely feels head down but hasn't dropped yet as I still get short of breath easily. I'm only 36 weeks but I hope baby comes soon as I can't take much more of these cramps. I feel like I should be getting my period any time now.

I seriously have to pee every 5 minutes. I think baby's head is quite low. I've been having mild, spaced out ctx for the past 2 days. We ended up totally rearranging DD's room yesterday, which was NOT planned, but now she has a dresser that's not broken. I've been doing SO much laundry the past week and today DD woke up at 6:30 because she was so excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought her. We had an early breakfast and went to the park, had lunch, and came home. One of the cats accidentally got closed in DD's room and peed on her bed!!! It only got on the comforter, but STILL! So I'm doing more laundry...3 loads (she has a ridiculous amount of blankets on her bed).

DH decided to rent a Rug Doctor and is cleaning the carpet. I didn't really want him to do it now, but he's insisting, and there are cat puke stains all over (from before DD and I moved in) and the dining room has smelled like cat pee for the past week, so it's great that he's doing it. I'm a little concerned about him not getting enough sleep, because he has to work tonight. He's really hoping baby will come tomorrow, which would be great, but if he works all night then I go into labor, he won't get any sleep! I suppose it'll all work out, but I want him at his best to support me whenever I do get into labor.

Other than that, we had a couple rough hours yesterday afternoon (all 3 of us) but the mood has been good today. I'm hoping we'll all at least not get crabby with each other. I do think baby will come this week, but I might be deluding myself (I'm 39w3d). I think he's still posterior, though...ROP to be exact. I'm sitting on my exercise ball now and have been for the past week when I'm sitting at home. My hips hurt SO much when I wake up in the morning. I am ready to meet my baby! but I can wait until he's ready.

That's what I have been feeling too. Pressure and menstrual crampy stuff. It seems to be more on than off now. I really hope this doesn't go for weeks and weeks. DH wants her to come at the end of next week but I think that would be too soon (only 36 weeks then). I hope she comes the end of the next week because then he will be done being out of town for at least a month then.

I was just thinking abt u and ur guess! Lol I think u might! Had another hr. of decent CX average 90sec apart. But they've slowed... Lots of period cramps still tho... So I'm eating a big bowl of coconut milk ice cream and relaxing... Thinking I'm gonna do an enema before bed tonight.

I've finally started loosing some plug!! It's tinged brown/orange and not red, but at least it's SOMETHING going on! I've also been having lots of random contractions today and felt an intense need to leave the Easter festivities at MIL's a little early, much to the dissappointment of the kiddos. I'm home now drinking a glass of water and going to lay down and watch some TV and maybe nap. I'm not feeling like "this is it" but more like "oh sh!t this is really going to happen, and soon!" lol.gif
