So I'm sitting here getting real anxious about the next few days til my cerclage removal... We pretty much have everything done, aside from a few things and of course I'd like my house to be a little cleaner LOL but whatever.

Anyway, for those that don't know I'm now 35 weeks 4days (EDD is 4/1) and had an emergent cerclage placed at 18 weeks and have been on strict bed rest ever since. I was on several meds for cervical shortening and contractions and i stopped all those at 34 weeks. I've been in to L&D for contractions 7 times since the cerclage was placed, the most recent being this past Wednesday night. Ever since things have been calm.

My stitch removal is on the morning of march 7th! (Next thursday Ill be 36 weeks 3 days) And ill be completely off bed rest then as well! I'm so anxious with wonder of when she will greet us!

SOOOOO who wants to take a guess when this little princess will make her grand entrance ?!?!?

No idea, I suck at guessing! LOL. I always watch cases like yours with curiosity though because it seems like a lot of women who spend so much of their pg trying to keep baby in end up staying pg for longer (on their own) once they get the "go ahead" for labor!

Yeah... I wouldn't mind a week or so but I'd rather not go over after all this... But of course it's not really up to me lol

It did but that was two weeks ago and I was still on my cervical meds at the time, I stopped them a few days after that US and my dr said you stop them so the cervix can begin to ripen slowly before the removal. I've also been having a lot of contractions (BH mostly aside from the other night) so I'm think the lack of vaginal meds will make a difference in my length/dilation... I also had some spotting on wed. Which can be a sign that there is dilation happening through the stitch but since it wasn't continuous bleeding they wouldn't check me when I was in the hospital. So idk. I've heard from people who've gotten their cerclage out and been holding their babies within 12 hrs or less... And others who went overdue lol ahhhhh it's so nerve wreaking lol

It's how it works haha. DS tried coming at 23, 32, 33, and 34 weeks...and then decided to hold off until 43 >.<

I am basing this on personal experience. I think it took me about 3-4 days to go into labor after I got off bedrest at the end of my 8th month. However I was living out of state at the time and was stuck at my mom's, so I had to fly home! We also lived on a 3rd floor walk-up, so I was doing LOTS of steps. I definitely did not take it easy during those 3 days.

I'm home and the stitch is out... Well, its sort of out...The important part is out, but there was a piece they couldn't get... It was SOOO painful. Ugh. Hopefully they'll be able t get the remaining piece out once I'm in labor... OH JOY! Which isn't looking to be any time soon either lol she's obviously very comfy in there lol (they said I was only abt "a finger tip" dilated. Whatever that means lol
And even tho I'm now officially off bed rest, I'm about to go back to bed for the afternoon cuz I'm in so much pain... Apparently when u mess with the cervix this late it pregnancy "it swells up" so all the digging around they just did... I'm really swollen... Oh the pressure! Ugh.
