I am so hoping that March 2013 will be my month to get pregnant. Waiting to O this cycle. One more day of high temps needed to confirm O. I just want to get this cycle done and start the next one even though it means lots of shots. I can hardly wait for the last week of the month of March for my egg retrieval.

I had an awesome second job interview yesterday. They sounded pretty confident that I would be offered the job but they needed to confirm that my guidance and counseling license was a payable profession under a Title 1 educational contract. I guess the principal thought I was a social worker. Hopefully I hear on Monday because the principal said she would talk to HR yesterday.

Hi, everyone. I'm 33, TTC #1 since last month (Feb 2013). Since we decided on a whim to start TTC, I haven't charted a dang thing yet! We're hoping we hit a homerun on our first at-bat, but who knows? haha We certainly are just flying by the seat of our pants until AF comes next weekend, if she does. And if she does, we'll get a bit more purposeful for cycle 2.

I'm super super stoked because even though we aren't pregnant yet, we've already met with and solidly picked a midwife and birth center. We aren't technically clients of theirs yet, but the entire staff has still committed to praying for us. We *LOVE* it. omg I can't wait to be pregnant. Below is copied from what I posted in another thread this morning.

Quote:
This is me about 6 DPO (not even sure when I O'd this month, truthfully)..... I'm praying it's not just all in my head!! It's only a few notches below the intensity of normal menstrual cramps (which should come in about a week), so I'm about to bust out a heating pad.

Or maybe I just need to go to the bathroom.

lilacvioletiris, we're also on BS 2!!!! Putting it mildly on hold to have our first, but it's still a goal!! Best wishes to yours! Exclamation point.

Hi lilac! When will you hear about the job? All my baby and job dust goes to you, let's hope for a twofer this month!!!

We are TTC #2 starting March 16th and I'm really hoping to get AF back soon (DS is 11months. I nurse or pump 5-6x per day).

I don't know how you guys feel about a BJ graduate returning even though this is a TTC#1 group...I thought I would check in.

Hi!

I am back here after 4 years--in 2009 I hung around for a few months under a different name, don't even remember what I called myself then, it was so long ago, anyway, I was here while I was learning the ropes actually TTA by temping, etc. (Great success!)

But now, drumroll, we're ready to start TTC!

I am 31.

Here's to new beginnings!

Ultrafighter, I am glad you are excited about the Dave Ramsey thread. I know when I found it it was just what I needed to get over the "must save $1000" hump. I wish someone would have told me that 15 years ago when I was still in college. My boss then had given me a book by Crown Financial entitled - Every Single Cent - budgeting for single people. I had a budget down pretty well, but I wasn't saving. Began using credit cards and using credit in ways I shouldn't have for "emergencies". Still working on my DH - if he sees a "good deal" he is apt to take his Canadian credit card out of his wallet to buy the American item. Getting better but delaying gratification is something we both struggle with in regards to purchases.

RosieL, every now and then we get a mom that is coming back to TTC#2 in her thirties. I think it is great if you want to join in because you can give us first timers a bit of encouragement from been there, done that. I will let other members weigh in on their opinions, then let you decide.

apolonia, welcome! May your stay here be short! This is a great group of ladies all at different places in their TTC journey.

#11 ·
Hi ultrafighter- Glad to see you on this thread as well

Hi apolonia- Welcome! Hope you catch your egg quickly

RosieL- Welcome back and Congrats on your decision to ttc #2. I'm personally not a stickler for thread titles so join on in!

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

If any of you could offer a few piece of advice, what would they be? Use FF to track BBT and CM?

I just got a new thermometer, yay!

Also have been on prenatals for 3 mos.

(Pre-seed is in our arsenal, as well as some OPKs I ordered, not sure if we'll use any of these things, since this is our first go at TTC.)

DH is off the caffeine and rarely drinks. He is nearing 40 and confident in his virility...we've never had a reason to have it checked so let's hope he's right!

My cycles are generally regular, when I was charting to avoid a few years back, O was generally consistent at 15-16 days.

Here's hoping this is a successful journey!

Thanks again for your support.

apolonia, I like fertility friend for tracking my BBT and cervical mucus. It is nice to see the trends over time. Sounds like you have other things going in the correct direction as well as far as vitamins and healthy decrease of things that decrease fertility.

#14 ·
Hi everyone, welcome Apolonia, Rosie, and Ultrafighter. Hopefully you don't have to hang out here too long, but if you do it's a pretty nice place for support.

Lilac--sounds like things are right on track with the job, and I hope that the good news keeps coming! Thank you for starting a new thread.

Not much new with me. On CD 2 here, last month I thought was going to be annovulatory, but I did end up ovulating around CD27. I went back to the doctor and it turns out I do not have PCOS after all--all the lab work came back well within normal ranges, so I guess I just have irregular cycles. I just started taking Vitex, so hopefully that will help. It seems like it did help lengthen my luteal phase this month. DH is going in tomorrow for a sperm analysis, so it will be good to know what's going on there. Feeling hopeful, but also a little blue since this month marks two years since we stopped using contraception.

#15 ·
Lilac- Thank you for starting the new thread! I can't wait to hear how many eggs they retrieve!

bailey- Didn't you have a cyst awhile back? Or maybe that was someone else. Anyhow- I'm glad you didn't have pcos! One less thing to battle, right? I hope vitex does the trick for you. I had to stop it because of gastro issues with it. Wishing a great SA for your hubby too! April is our 2 year ttc anniversary. It is a LONG time to be dealing with something this emotionally charged! I know there are others that have gone on longer and I just don't know how they do it.

Apolonia- I use Fertility Friend too. I find it very simple to use and its given me lots of knowledge about my cycles. Sounds like you got all the "essentials" in your arsenal. I like preseed too.

AFM- Nothing's changed. 14dpo and multiple bfn's. I have my Dr. blood test tomorrow for the official no. I'll be glad to see AF and move onto IUI.

#16 ·
ultrafighter- Hello! Glad to hear your excitement and energy.

apolonia- Hi! Best of luck to you!

RosieL- Hi! I think I actually remember you from the first time around. Welcome :)

Lilac- thank you for the new thread! I am SO hopeful and excited for you
biggrinbounce.gif

AFM, probably in the middle of my luteal phase. I didn't really pay attention-- there was a LOT going on in my life this month. I have a rental property that I had to get a tenant for, and am in the process of buying another. DH kind of emotionally dropped out of the process again. Also, I work with medical records and today I helped a young woman get her records, and she had a baby who is young enough that we could have one that age if we'd gotten pregnant right away. This mother had done some awful things to the child, and I had to be helpful because it's my job, although with things the way they are I doubt she can get custody of the baby... I came home and flipped the f out. DH has been totally emotionally checked out, won't do the at-home sperm count thing I got... I asked him if he really wants to be here with me, right now, doing this. He assured me that he does. I can only take his word for it. I feel like a wreck today.

#17 ·
Viddy- Well that just sucks big time. No way around that.
hug2.gif
I hope your dh jumps back on the wagon soon. Maybe this is just a blip for him before he realizes he must support the process and be "in it" with you! You just can't go at it alone with this ttc stuff. Its to hard. I think I've told you before about my dh being extremely difficult for a very very very very long time. When I finally thought he was on board with going to the RE he tried to back out. I couldn't freakin' believe it! I was so angry and deflated. He went because I had a crazy unglued hissy fit, lol. Ironically since he got that sperm analysis out of the way - he's fine.
eyesroll.gif
Now I have to get him to do it again because we're going to have to do iui. He hasn't said anything about it but the money is a concern. I have my fingers crossed for both of us!

Hi Ladies, just checking in to see for some updates.

Welcome to all of the newbies...I hope your stay here is a short one :)

LILAC - That is great news on the job front! Change can be very exciting...and it sounds like a great fit for you.

I tried doing the "I'm not charting" thing last month...but let's be honest, I wasn't fooling myself. I pretty much have a fair idea of what's going on throughout my cycle...except it still is a shock when AF comes. It was weird, I was around 28-31 days for 6 months, then in January my cycle was 43 days (which got me really excited), then last month it was 36 days (again, although I wasn't charting, I knew where I was). So I have no idea what to expect this cycle. So I'm pretending again that I'm not trying this month. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing, but it's my one year wedding anniversary this month and I really want to relax and enjoy being married and with my husband without ttc in the back of my head. I figure that I can start charting again next month...which will also give me a chance to see how long it takes AF to come this time around.

So ladies...all of the luck of the Irish to you (I live in Ireland, so I'll try to find some out here for you all!) and have a wonderful month full of baby dust, new opportunities and loads of happy thoughts and good news xx

#19 ·
Conifer, that is too funny that you live in Ireland. Maybe this month will be it for you and your DH as you celebrate your anniversary.

I talked with the principal today and she is recommending me for hire to the human resource department. Now I have to decide if the salary and benefits are worth the one hour drive. Hopefully by next week I will know what is going on job wise.

#20 ·
Jenny-- Will you be doing the analysis soon? Frustrating that insurance won't cover a lot of this stuff.

Conifer-- How is the not-charting going? Have you been able to relax a little?

Lilac-- How is the job thing? I am rooting for you!

AFM, 1-2 days away from AF time. I am not sure what will happen, but I have made some lifestyle changes this month (no coffee, doing some weight loss stuff, and no gluten are the big ones). Also, DH took the at-home sperm count test and his count was a-ok.

#21 ·
Conifer- Congrats on your one year Anniversary.
jumpers.gif
Are you planning something special?

Viddy- Yes we will be doing the iui next week sometime. So he will have to give a sample then. I let him know that he will have to do it on a certain day and it may be short notice. He seemed to be fine with it so far. How 'bout you and your dh? Any luck getting him to turn the corner?

AFM- CD5 and AF left today. Clomid has been especially tough on me again. Seems like I get new side effects each time. This time its dizziness and nausea. So much fun. It wears off by the evening and then I start the whole thing over again in the morning. I should know more about the iui on Tuesday. They'll give me all the instructions on timing etc. I hope we get twins - I really don't want to do this again!

#22 ·
TeamViddy, glad to know that your DH's sperm count was a-ok. That is encouraging.

JustJenny, hopefully your DH can produce in the "special place" the doctor gives him. My DH was weirded out about being in the special bathroom for "production" that was right next to the incoming door at the clinic. We ended up getting a hotel the next time because it was too stressful with people coming and going by all the time.

AFM, now news on the job front. Still waiting for HR to call me back. Waiting to start my IVF cycle month. I haven't gotten my period yet. Took a HPT yesterday evening and this morning (when my temp jumped to 98.2 degrees but I have been feeling sick) but no positive result. I am worried that if my AF starts tomorrow I might not be able to cycle this month because retrieval/transfer would fall on Easter Weekend. right now I am hoping that my period holds off until Monday, the 18th or that a miracle happened and I am pregnant.

#23 ·
OOOps Viddy I see you did get your dh to take the test. Sorry I was reading fast! I'm happy you did and the count was good
joy.gif
One less thing to stress about, right?

Lilac- Hope everything is favorable for your retrieval. FX'd that AF stays away til monday- or- your preggo!

#24 ·
All is well! Period came this morning and my clinic has the doctor I have seen on call Easter weekend for retrieval and transfer! I had 30 follicles growing today which my nurse said was perfect!

#25 ·
Lilac- That is awesome! 30 little follies
thumb.gif
I'm so glad the Dr, you like will be on call for you over Easter Weekend. You must be SO EXCITED! I'm excited for you!

#26 ·
Lilac, how wonderful! I am glad to hear. Sounds like things are really falling into place.

Jenny, twins
love.gif
Oh my gosh... More love! I hope you feel better soon. Sorry to hear the clomid does that to you.

AFM, officially late with very similar symptoms to the last time I was pregnant. But I thought that last time AF was late, and I was going through some big stress around O time. I am going to hold out as long as I can on testing...
