Anyone wanna talk ultrasound biometry..or not « Back to Group Discussions

I guess I will just put my report with all the measurements away b/c i really dont understand it with all the abbreviations&percentiles &stuff. I would just think every baby is different& be happy everything is looking normal. It just sparks my curiousity..anyone know anything to look at that would be of interest? My estimated FW is 14oz, fetal weight? I read somewhere that was bigger so i am guessing tall baby or maybe boy..Posterior placenta....If i dont put this paper away i think it'll drive me a little crazy.

Yes FW is fetal weight and the thing is, these are ONLY estimates.  There is a margin of error either way on weight and my guy was estimated at 14oz at 21+ weeks but all my babies have been on the small side at birth or smaller than half maybe, usually 20th % roughly and grow on the 5th - 10th % growth curve even though I breast feed 24/7.  So just take into account they aren't 100% accurate and they can/are off by a bit.

My baby's weight was 13 oz at 19 weeks during the Ultrasound. I also thought it was kind of high, but the tech said it was just as estimate based on the measurements, and that it is right on track.

My baby was 12oz at 21.5 weeks. Tech said give or take an oz.
