Jess, I certainly don't feel like I'm in the honeymoon phase either. You are not alone.

Serena, I haven't felt anything for several days either. It's a bummer. I wasn't completely sure about what I was feeling in the first place though.

Same here! It's nice. Can't wait till it can be felt from the outside, though, to share with my husband and the kids.

Congrats to all of you who have felt your babies move!  I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow and haven't felt anything. :(  In my ultrasound I saw the baby move, so I'm not too worried, just bummed.  It's my first pregnancy and I'm definitely not a thin woman, so maybe that's why.  Or maybe I'm just not 'in tune' enough?  Hopefully I'll feel something in the next week or 2.

I'm 18 weeks and 2 days and haven't felt anything obvious, although during the night when I'm laying on my side sometimes I think I feel kicks.  I can't wait to feel regular movement, Its my first pregnancy and I'm really looking forward to it!

Like Kali mentioned, I'm not very thin so that could why..

I find it really amazing how different each baby can truly be even when they are so tiny. I'm wondering if the fact that I've got a super active one on my hands means I'm due for tons of sleepless nights once he or she arrives?

Mamamash I think you were the one earlier asking about feeling the baby on the back of your womb. I totally can! Not sure what that means since I feel like I get kicked on all sides of my uterus orngtongue.gif

This baby has been extremely quiet compared to my others which has me very worried. I have my first scan on Thursday and I'm hoping I will be feeling more reassured after that. I barely get any kicks while lying in bed, last night I woke at 4:30 and was all of a sudden so worried. Our first baby was stillborn, and I knew something was wrong because one day he just stopped moving, so I guess it makes sense that I'd be sensitive to the movements in other pregnancies. Fingers crossed everything will be ok. This will be my last baby, and I just want things to go smooth.

hug2.gif Hugs, mama.  I hope the scan on thursday reassures you.  Try to remember that there is not likely to be any problems when you are this far along.  The vast majority of issues happen in the first trimester and you've passed that milestone, so think positive and try not to stress (as much as possible.)

Thanks, Serafina. Really appreciate the encouragement. The daytimes I can get through, but what is it about 4am that makes me turn into Miss Paranoia?! Thanks again. :-)

Letnia- yep that was me! I still feel the baby everywhere and felt her higher than ever before last night. Probably less than an inch from the height of my belly button but to the left side. My dh didn't seem to see how that was exciting haha.

Smiles- hugs! I have never been through that so I can't even imagine your anxiety. But, try to remain positive and just love this little baby. I'm sure your scan Thursday will reassure you smile.gif

Thanks, mamamash. My nerves are at an all time high today. I've barely felt a thing today. It's 7pm in Ireland and the last kicks I felt were at 12ish. What worries me the most is that they seem to be less and smaller than a week ago. Thanks for listening, it helps to get the worry out in words iykwim. I hate to carry on and on. I am normally a very laid back person who worries very little in life. This state of mind is a bit foreign to me.

had a prenatal yesterday and got to hear a nice strong heartbeat with movement - it was useful to hear movement happening by the way the heartbeat changed in the moment and to not feel it -  so i know it's happening but it's not strong enough for me to sense it (without being in a deeply meditative state, that is!) - i know that it's often nearly 20 weeks before movement is clear so i have faith that all of us waiting will get it sooner than later!  and it totally makes sense that if you've had trouble with prior pregnancies, you'd be especially worried.  i think we all need to remember that it's still early :)

Smiles- I notice some days I feel significantly less movement and smaller movements. It seems the baby moves a ton for a couple days, and then tires herself out and needs to recoup for a day. If you are truly that worried (and I don't blame you one bit for feeling this way) maybe call your midwife tomorrow and see if you could stop by and hear the heartbeat? I have had those days where I freak out. And I've never been through losing a baby.

Yay for a strong heartbeat and movement Jess!

Oh mama!!! I'm so so sorry to hear this and am hoping all is well with your little bean. Well-- I guess he/she is much larger then a bean. I just read the size is about the size at 15wks is a large pear!

I'm feeling the baby right now I *think* and had to post. Yay.
