I am about to complete a medical assistant course and go into externship. They want me to get all kinds of immunizations and I am very nervous. I tried looking for some exemption forms but I've only found them for children or students, not for health care workers. I really don't want all those chemicals in my body, especially since a lot of the ingredients are known carcinogens, and I already have pre cancerous cells in my body, and I had an adverse reaction to a flu shot a few years ago.
I had my titer tests done and I'm immune to most of the main diseases they test for, except hep B, and there's no titer test for tetanus so they want me to have that shot. I did find right in my OSHA training that you are able to waive the hepatitis vaccine so that should work out.
If anyone has experience with this please let me know any information. I'm supposed to go in Monday am for this tetanus shot.
