Heartburn already?!

What the heck?  I had HORRIBLE heartburn with my first 2 pregnancies, but it didn't start until the 3rd trimester.  I never get heartburn unless I'm pregnant.  I am 17 weeks and I'm up and can't sleep because it is so bad.  If it's this bad now I hate to see what it will be like in a few months!  Anyone else having this problem?  What do you take, if anything?

Ha-was just logging in to see if anyone else was experiencing! I am 18.5 weeks and it just started tonight. Usually I don't eat much at night because I'm too nauseous, but my friend made delicious homemade pizza and I didn't want to miss it. Now I am exhausted, but can't sleep because the heartburn is so awful. I'm not at my house for the night, so no Tums or anything on hand. Oy.

I am about 16 weeks and I have had it most of this pregnancy... bummer!  I am also up waiting for dinner to settle enough to make sleeping comfortable.  I had it bad my first pregnancy, but only in the 3rd trimester as well.  My second pregnancy it started in the second trimester.  Then this time around it was one of my first symptoms.  Hey, at least the headaches are gone!  I think I'll take heartburn over headaches.  At least if I can keep myself from overindulging in delicious meals I can (somewhat) control this one!

Try papaya enzymes, Trader Joe's has a nice chewable one if you have a store nearby.

My husband loves them for heartburn.  I am lucky enough not to suffer from it even when pregnant (I may have had it really mildly a couple of times last pregnancy).

I have heartburn already too, although I wondered if it's because I'm expecting twins. I have to sleep in the recliner due to nausea and heartburn and have been there since early January.

I've been having it off and on already, I had to go look up when hair started forming because of that old wives' tale about lots of heartburn equals lots of hair!.  lol.gif

Ugh.  Me too.  I always have heartburn, but never this early.  Better up my water intake, huh?

I'm 15-16 weeks and having heartburn.  I am taking an essential oil blend by Doterra called DigestZen.  I take it orally and rub it on my tummy.  I am also taking a TBSP of apple cider vinegar when I can't find the essential oil, lol.
