SPD - Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction

Has anyone else experienced this before, I have kind of self diagnosed as my husband and I can hear my hips and pelvis grinding and clicking when I walk, or should I say waddle slowly.

What have you done to ease symptoms? Does wrapping help?

I really can't believe how different this pregnancy has been even in the early stage we're at to my two previous relatively easy pregnancies.

I hear you on how different this pregnancy is! Anyway, SPD sucks. I've seen lots of my prenatal students and doula clients go through it. Basically, you want to treat it like a sprain - ice it, limit movement (close your legs when rolling over in bed and sitting), and limit stairs. Every client I know who has seen a chiropractor has sworn by it. That would probably be my first stop. Some clients do end up using a band but, from my perspective, that should be a last resort. Using a band will allow you not to use some muscles, which will weaken as a result.

Best of luck. I know it's a tough complication to deal with.

Gray thank you so much for the advice I appreciate it immensely! Right now to find a chiropractor. The clicking is so frustrating not only is it uncomfortable but its noisy and annoying.
