Magazine?

Hey y'all -

I'm looking for a good parenting magazine to subscribe to. I am a somewhat "crunchy" mama, to a newborn little girl, so preferably one that caters to that. (less mainstream, more alternative) Any good suggestions?

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that Brain, Child is sitll publishing print copies for the newsstands and mail subscribers. Last year, the publisher announced that it would cease but it has been bought by someone and will continue. I always liked it for the thoughtful articles about parenting and childhood issues from all perspectives including alternative and mainstream. It isn't particularly aimed at parents of newborns though. 

Have you checked out this site beyond this forum? You can get to the home page for Mothering by clicking on the link at the top of the page. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything. It's just that a lot of people find the forum and don't realize at first that it is part of the much larger Mothering magazine.

You know, someone told me they used to print a magazine but had stopped. :/ I didn't see otherwise. Is it still in print, then? Because I would totally subscribe.

Mothering does not publish a print magazine anymore. I think there is a healthy market for back issues. If you aren't finding anything else and you prefer something in a hard copy rather than on-line, you may want to look for back issues.
