Looking for a doula to bottlefeed an infant who won't take bottles

Hi,

Does anyone know of any great doulas near the Eastside/Bellevue, WA area who can come to my place and teach me to bottlefeed my 6 mo old baby who is refusing all supplements and my milk supply is 50% of his needs. He is losing weight and dropping in percentiles fast. So urgent help with a great doula is needed. OR a miracle working feeding therapist?

I don't know anyone in Bellevue, but if you're nursing now, maybe a nipple shield would be a good start?

If they can associate the non-skin contact with still being able to eat then maybe that would help.  Also, if baby nurses to sleep or dozing, doing a quick switch between breast and bottle while they aren't alert.  Have you tried different types, shapes and plastics of the bottle nipples?

I'm not sure what you've tried, so wanted to throw out some ideas for you.

Good luck!

Cup feeding can be a very good option for babies who won't take a bottle. Check youtube for videos showing how to do it.

Do you have a SNS you can supplement with?
